I would love to visit this Castle, my heritage says Pennington's are descendants of mine. Hughes is my married name . The connection was my great - great grandmother Agnes Dilligate. Another ghost story is about Hellwise Pennington, she loved a local carpenter but he was not well-suited for her and William Pennington her Dad was not happy with their romance and Tom Skelton was said to have chopped the lovers head off and gave the decapitated head to William Pennington. Hellwise died of a broken heart. Thankyou for sharing Paul very cool !

Muncaster castle was on an episode of strange but true in the 9os. on you tube with the stories of the ghost good show.

Spent many a day out with my family, at Muncaster castle & Lowther wildlife park, many years ago.

Yeah hope so would be a shame if didn't get the "That'll Do" treatment! No social distancing this time around so should be more to capture.
