Muna | "Silk Chiffon" Track Deconstruct

Музыка

Expanding the sound of and pushing pop music forward, trio of multi-instrumentalists, Muna takes us through the writing and instrumentation behind their smash single "Silk Chiffon" featuring Phoebe Bridgers. Shortly after the release in 2021 they opened up their mix session for us and shared some insight behind the production. Everything from working in their DAW of choice Ableton to double tracking acoustics, to how the electric guitars complement and respond to the lead vocal, why the Prophet is the most utilitarian synth, and their favorite chorus pedal, the Ibanez CS-9.
Watch the video for a track-by-track deconstruction of the song and to learn more about their creative production process.
