July 2 on The Story: Oregon is two months away from recriminalizing hard drugs, a change that’s supposed to come with new county “deflection” programs to offer people treatment in lieu of jail. But Multnomah County’s program appears headed for a rocky rollout, tripped up by a lack of resources on the treatment side and Oregon’s public defender crisis on the legal side.

    16:22... "ok, so let's say police find someone using fentanyl along the park blocks..."... LOL. I'm not sure if "find" is the right word here. If you walk along the park blocks, you're literally tripping over them. That would be like going to the beach to see if you can find some sand ;-)
