Plot Twist: Sheriff Judd actually took the money. Judd told the 3 officers to make a deal with him on this one and so they agreed too take this lesser punishable crime so that Judd wouldn't report them for the worser crimes that he has evidence of them doing in the past.

@@singaporesammy I agree, it seems really strange. Police departments are usually reserved when it comes to releasing information about ongoing investigations especially internal investigations but this Sheriff is singing like a canary. He discloses how every arrest ever made by these officers which involved property confiscation will be investigated. Then he says the charges to the suspects these officers arrested will be dropped because the officer's integrity is too questionable. Also they're working with their finance department to reimburse the stolen money. Then the Sheriff says we suspect one of the arresting officers stole the money.

You're not supposed to see "this kind of openness." Publicly revealing facts of a case before jury selection is called jury tampering and is a crime against the People. This sheriff does this habitually to ensure his desired outcomes. He is paid to do his duty, not to have an opinion and desired outcomes. This theater is to give the appearance that he is tough on crime, and to ensure his reelection. He's a songbird. If his cases are as solid as he presents them to the press they would speak for themselves at trial. He has no trust for the People he serves to reach the right conclusions, or may not want them to reach the right conclusion. Everything he has said here, if true, can be reported after the trial. There is no need for this. The only statement that the sheriff is obligated to make to the press (aka We the People) is "Three of my deputies have been arrested for suspicion of evidence tampering. They have been incarcerated and an investigation is ongoing."

It happens more than you would think. In most departments, inner-department complaints far outweigh complaints from the public. In a country of 330 million and who knows how many police and sheriff’s departments, we will never reach zero corruption or zero incompetence but we can continue to make progress. So before we let activists and politicians set the narrative and decide the policies, we should recognize how much accountability the police do have and how holding them to impossible standards and demonizing is only going to help get rid of all the honest, honorable officers we do have. No one in their right mind would go into policing nowadays, and people who live in low income, high crime neighborhoods who rely on police the most will be hurt the most from the toxic rhetoric and activism. All of the people calling for “defunding the police” are privileged enough not to have to rely on proactive policing in their neighborhoods to keep them safe.

@@Bleeeaaoop Polk County is in Florida. Remember the murders of the 3 friends going fishing in Frostproof, Fl.? Sheriff Grady Judd is simply the best! I’m sure it was embarrassing for him to have 3 of his officers arrested, but he is a zero tolerance kind of guy! “You’re either honest or you’re not!”. These officers put the arrest & conviction in jeopardy for $723? Not to mention their careers, livelihoods, & reputations? It is such a stupid thing to do! Seems like someone wanted extra cash for Christmas shopping? I hope they think it was worth it! What a waste of money spent on training these guys at the Police Academy! May have been justified, idk? Many criminals will refuse to comply with police so they can commit suicide by cop, rather than go to prison. Officers put their lives on the line everyday to protect the public, so these criminals better realize that if they kill one, or more, that “All Hell is going to rain down on them!”. These police departments are sick of losing good officers needlessly to people who have no respect for their own lives, let alone other’s lives!

I agree with the top part. However I believe someone is always watching even when it may seem nobody is watching. Your better and worse self is watching. What is fed most grows stronger. As far as the thank you sheriff part goes I'll try not to disagree to much. Cause he does seem to do his part. I just can't stand it when he twist facts of a few bad apples as examples into his sham war on drugs campaign like he does. That in itself should be criminal and should be held accountable and put behind bars. Just like the system profits from people's "health conditions" such as addiction instead of being decent folks and help get back on track to lead a more healthier and positive life style. Do you know how many people have life sentences for something that can't hurt anyone without am action of a human behind it? Such as drugs and guns? Yet the real problems like pedophilia are out harming children everyday. That get a small portion of the time. I know I have 3 years clean from heroin. I also been to prison along with the offenders/predators that caused my pain to want to try managing with drugs in the first place. Not saying that I was an angel but I surely wasn't out to harm others. That's what prison is for, for the ones out preying on others. Not the ones who may have got caught up in traps or addictions. And again is my only beef with this sheriff. He is either highly ignorant which is no excuse for his position or lies and twist the the truth of drugs. Drugs do not make people bad. People make people bad. Guns don't kill people. It takes an action of a human to make a gun kill someone. Drugs don't kill. It takes an action of a human to over ingest drugs to kill. I'll end with this. Everyone should know the real reason the whole war on drugs was created. Its far more sinister than what they want you to believe. It wasn't about the drugs. Drugs have been around for thousands of years and will always be around . Good source of revenue to an empire is what it became but if you research you will find it had more to do with racism at first. Please do your own research and find the truth out for yourself. Don't just now down to a system that is raping our liberties away seemingly by the day. If it's not already too late it surely will be when we are nothing but their robots. Make a stand for what is right! And dig your feet into the ground to oppose that which is trying to oppress us all..

He stated that at the scene all three counted the funds as is policy.. at that point one Deputy would have the responsibility to package and submit the evidence.. at that point he is fully responsible for turning into property.. The other two would have no idea as to whether or not it was actually placed into property or not... they can not be held responsible for actions that they had no control over or knowledge of. Are there cameras at the property section?

@Davis Willow I get what you're saying, and you may be right, but I think it would take more information to determine the motivation there. I was wondering during the interview why his photo was in the center. It's possible that they ordered them by suspected culpability. I thought "What if they had put his photo first, or last? What would be the criticism then? First=worst? Last=lesser status?" As far as zoomed in, maybe? Or maybe they're all the same ratio and he's just slightly larger than the other two. It's certainly subtle, if there was any manipulation there. My mind never saw him as the most guilty, especially since the sheriff kept tapping his hand on the first photo and reiterating his guilt over the other two. I certainly think you bring up a good point though, that what we see in the media is very often trying to subtly manipulate how we perceive information.
