My wacky conspiracy theory is that they secretly didn't cancel the game's development so that people would pay more attention to Marvel spider man 2 updates and wolverine. At the time, we only found out cause of the stupid hackers leaking stuff ( I think).

i havent seen where this information came from since it wasnt in the original insomniac leak. to me it looks fake as mods,pc leak, and ai voice all exist making it seem incredibly unlikely. maybe im just being a contrarian but something always feels off when everyone has the exact same opinion or belief. which is what i see with this

Id like to imagine different spider classes or different builds. You choose an iconic spiderman/woman to mentor you, so you slowly pick up their abilities. And just as you start off, your swing speed, acrobatics, and fighting is slow asf. Time to start grinding boys.. whenever we inevitably get this game uncanceled because of the high demand.

Sony Studios has been having hella budget cuts and layoffs, and since Insomniac makes PS Exclusive content they had to cancel lots of items from their production lineup. Thats why the leaks even happened... The first rounds of firings were contractors working on the game. Some of them were rightfully pissed, so they leaked the Wolverine gameplay.

Know what would be cool? Hidden Cameo of Human Torch and/or Iceman. Both being Peter's Childhood friends in the comics. Like they wouldn't even hint them in the trailers, But as you play the game you get hints and references of their existence in the game but at the same time shying away of the idea of them actually appearing. Like have Them be out of the country or in Human Torch's case, Off World. Thus eliminating the players idea of them being in the game. then later surprise us with not only a Cameo but also gameplay. Even have us play as them. Have Iceman make mention of Wolverine and his exploits in his game while subliminally hinting of a Marvel Team up game with Spiderman, The X-men, and Fantastic Four.

The spider gwen suit in the trailer is 100% a recolor of the Miles 2099 suit with the spiderpunk denim vest over the top. Have a close look at the Emblem and the hood and boots. Exact same just recolor.

They probably cancelled the game because they hadn't done all they needed to do but it ended up leaking and since they had other projects to do, they probably just looked at the responses and were like alright I guess OR maybe they just saw the avengers game and were maybe doing something similar and did not want to go there

If X-men legends 3 looked like this or even half as polished I think we’d gladly eat it up. Glitches I don’t mind as long as they get fixed. Considering how hard some games were to look at but they were still fun.

Its cancelled because sony recently dropped half of insomniac's staff due to company wide budget cuts. Unfortunately, the cancelation is real and insomniac made the decision so they could keep the single player games and not have to replace one of them with the multiplayer one.

Mark my words, we will get this game. The “leak” was just a test to see how audiences would react to it. We’re gonna get this game. I’ve been saying “they should have an online mode simlar to gta” since before the first game released, I can’t be the only one who felt like this at the time. Insomniac know what fans want, and judging by the positive reception these “leaks” have gotten I think it’s safe to say that this is a project that they wouldn’t want to pass on. This game will be a reality within the next 6 years.
