Few dramas took those things too far, compared to that this one is better as they don't have time to be stuck with those problems as they have lot to cover in story department even without those drama tropes.

Both Zisheng and NN act without discussing with eachother. That's where the problem lies. They need to realise they're a team against all odds, they need to act together.

@@pirimpallopirimpalli4932 I don't think ZiSheng anticipated that the Emperor and Empress would love his SS so much that they would bring her into the palace (and thus started all this tangled web) or that the Empress would take in SS as a daughter and SS would see the Empress as her mother. The Wingman Emperor making it his business to be involved in ZiSheng's love life started all this complication, LOL. I think ZiSheng, the Master Tactician, thought of every contingency plan except for his Beloved Niao Niao's lovable personality. I find it hilarious. Tragic, but still hilarious.

It's rare when you find any C-drama where you WANT to watch every single episode, it's that good. The relationships are all believable and interesting, and the interweaving of the character is really fun to watch. I love the dynamic between the leads, SS growing pains with hard lessons and learning to balance all of that in the palace, but I love her pace in the growth (it's hard to fathom her doing all this at 15 or 16, but she learns when she makes a mistake and she's still herself, she just can't realize she's 'growing up'.

@@sonaliagrawal5363 Love between fairy and devil was really nice. i like how FL helped ML and his brother with their traumas and forged her place as moon queen. but i have to say the ending wasn't the best. it felt slightly rushed and out of the blue. but overall it was a beautiful drama worth watching. The FL's voice and behaviour is kinda annoying but it was bareable.

you absolutely have to watch the starry love i adore love like the galaxy but the starry love made me feel things only the untamed could make me feel. i cried, laughed, screamed, smiled. there aren't any misunderstandings, the plot is amazing and you're sure to fall in love with most characters.

they def have a lot of growing to do as a couple. I get that LBY doesnt want her in danger but he has to realize that by marrying her, he's bringing her into his sphere. she's in danger regardless, the best way to protect her is to keep her in the loop and be a team with her

His biggest mistake was proposing to her. He likes her bravery and the fact that she's vengeful in nature too but she's too bratty, unreasonable, and immature for his world. Has no common sense. Wants to stick her nose in everything whether she's capable or not.

It’s the “learning curve” stage just like with SS and her parents.

Shaoshang silently pouring water over all of Ling Buyi's plans by helping the crown prince is such a tragic comedy. Neither the queen nor the crown prince are bad people, but, as ruler and future ruler, they definitely fall short. I was actually very relieved when the crown prince was abolished, granted his own fief instead and the third prince became the future ruler. As a citizen of that kingdom, I certainly wouldn't want a crown prince who is too emotional about protecting his evil relatives just for the sake of being family.

The irony of this is the fact that the CP does not really have any clue of what is going on with the relatives he is appointing to positions that are sensitive in nature. His only consideration is that they are kin and he himself does not understand what governing is because there's always Ling Buyi who can explain later what he did wrong. His sentimentality and weakness, as you said, will put the nation in jeopardy.

Shao Shang annoys the crap out of me. She consistently sticks her nose in places she has no expertise in and sh1ts on LBY's plans, including getting Peng Kun killed off ASAP, which forces LBY to take drastic actions, and then she blames it _all_ on him and punishes him for 5 years because he couldn't marry her anymore. What did this idiotic girl who doesn't care about consequences expect??? And when he warns her not to involve herself, that her actions can lead to consequences and problems(common sense advice!), she throws tantrums like a two year-old and complains about being controlled. One of the worst characters ever.

indeed. Both the empress n the crown prince simply don't fit their role. They better of enjoying the wealth with a status without much responsibility. Being kind and generous is good, but not too much when you also have to shoulder the responsibility as the leader nor a matriarch of a big household. Looking at how the 5th princess behaves, she is also too indulging and pampering her daughter too much. That's not what a wise mother should do either. Being a kind mother is ok, but one has to know when to give punishment too.

And I'm pleasantly surprised that the 3rd prince is so good. When he snitched on his sister at the Huo memorial service my first thought was that he was part of the plot and trying to to draw attention to Qian'an counterfeiting.

I adore the scene between Shaoshang and her Majesty. SS uses her smart to cunningly con her Majesty into eating some congee. The irony that her Majesty thinks the world of SS as a considerate and clever daughter while SS’s own mother doesn’t think so. And the irony that SS thinks that the Majesty is the best parent in the world as she is patient and never punish the children while her Majesty herself doesn’t think she has done a good enough job. While I am here for the love story of SS and her 3 suitors, I am genuinely touched by the parental storyline and glad to see the character growth in SS.

I love the family dynamics of the drama too. I always found her relationship with her mom fascinating. And her growing relationship with the empress is very interesting too. Their parenting styles are completely in contrast to each other but they are both not right because they don't have balance. One is too strict, the other is too nice. But for somebody who felt starved of their mother's love, the empress is the perfect candidate to nurture CSS.

Niao Niao needs the empress! The empress gives her the love and patience that she never had. The crown price needs Niao Niao's parents. They can give him the strength and backbone that he needs. Also the discipline that he should have had.

The empress is so kind and understanding. The emperor is equally kind but the princesses turned out to be monsters

Look how NN is blossoming under the tender care of the Empress. She is willing to learn and grow because of the love she is receiving from BL and the Empress. Her mother could learn alot from the Empress in how to express love.

Ok, I love this show and the conflicts. I absolutely understand why Niao Niao and Buyi did what they did. Not long ago, Niao Niao was isolated with 1 servant in an isolated farm house. She was even illiterate until recently. She is only used to living and thinking to fit a small world. Handle the immediate problem and you can fix any consequences that come up. Buyi is used to not explaining himself, being the mastermind, etc. And neither trusts or communicates well. I cannot be angry at either of them.

When I watch c-dramas especially historical ones I normally skip politics and get to main leads scenes and their families or friends,but here I dare not to skip because everything is so refreshing,the storyline of everyone is interesting and not boring at all.i'm here for all that 🙌

Every episode Shao Shang the character to audience: My mother is right. I'm unruly and disobedient. I don't listen well. I'm unpredictable and uneducated. I just follow my heart. In short, I am trouble. Trouble follows me. Let's put that aside for now. Do you still want to watch me work this thing out with BuYi? Audience, including me: Of course! Drama continues to next chapter...🤣

I loved how Buyi told Shaoshang, “I may have said I’ll protect you no matter what you do. But you still need to give me a chance to do it.” But the next day Buyi realizes that Shaoshang didn’t tell him how she helped the Crown Prince the day before. Buyi points out to Shaoshang that her help might actually cause harm to the Empress and Crown Prince. And that her actions have gotten in the way of Buyi’s plans. I really feel Shaoshang’s frustration at Buyi at this point. Her Mother and Ling Buyi tell her they are only doing things for her own good…Shaoshang can’t help but believe that it is because they don’t think she’s good enough! 💔. I’m sorry I let you down. 💔. OMG LBY! You dragged her into this battleground of a palace, you need to equip her! Remember how Shaoshang lights the candle in her room in the scene when she realizes she wants to marry Buyi? Well the episode closes with her extinguishing the candle 💔.

He will fix it though. That's the thing I like about their relationship, it is a learning curve for both of them. LBY does not just get everything right in one go. But he does love her deeply and the beauty of it is that he is always willing to learn and mold to CSS's requirements. CSS will pretty soon realise though that LBY is pretty much the exact opposite of her mother. Coming to her mother, one of the biggest reasons for CSS's trust issues. The person whom she thought will love and support her unconditionally failed her in a lot of ways so how can she learn to trust others (trust LBY who claims to love her). Her default setting is to not discuss things with others and to take matters into her own hands.

@@KSunshine...I agree with you. This girl is way impulsive... does not think about consequences and how actions can lead to domino effects. She gets upset when Ling Buyi points out what she isn't doing right and then complains that he doesn't think she's good enough or that he's "controlling" her. She specifically says she will not obey/listen to people or change her ways. Ling Buyi told her she should stay away from palace drama, that you cannot just trust anyone in the palace, not even the crown Princess just because of what she's like on the surface. Shao Shang argues against Ling Buyi, saying that she trusts her because she comes from a similar background. And somehow, the fault lies with Ling Buyi because he did not "equip her with enough info"? He didn't know exactly what was going on either...except he's smart enough to know how to be cautious and not act impulsively. It's ridiculous to me that every time the female lead messes up, people find reasons to blame it on other characters.

I find the character of ShaoShang could have evolved, get smarter and more sophisticated, since she has been training in the Palace for a while now by Her Majesty herself!!. Story writer could have thought about it to make the Drama more vivid and interesting and to be in line the fact that she was a self learner,, a tricky " smart street girl".

I don’t know why the mother tells and wants Niao Niao to be like Yang Yang. A person like Yang Yang would have never survived all the bullying and struggle with those royal people!

39:04 NN Confession made LB realize that he forgot to see things from her vantage point being in the palace. Too late but at least he knows now.

Emperor eunuch, Cao Cheng is one of my favorite eunuchs. He has a kind face and a gentle character in every way. 💕💕💕

I get where Buying is coming from but he's being idealistic his own self. He can't have Shaoshang in the royal palace but have her in the dark to important matters at the same time. This isn't a life where you can leave "work" at "work" when you come home. Eventually, something would come up that would put her in harm's way that would've been avoidable had she known what was going on. Ignorance isn't bliss.

Consort Yue is such a good person and I just love how she puts her children in place ❤❤❤

I need to add at previous episode, that young girl who died after the raid at Hua place, was phenomenal. She did very good acting of a dying child.

This drama is so deep, you don’t even realize how deep until watching numerous times. The relationships between the moms and daughters are given such a masterful treatment yet natural feeling that is unmatched in c dramas. The irony about how good the Empress is with NN is contrasted with how bad she was with 5th Princess, even Concubine Yue’s competence and intelligence can’t make up for 3rd Princess’s greed and stupidity. Third princess was also left behind by a Concubine Y during their fight for the throne, she was doted on and spoiled by her uncle’s family but she still turned out bad whereas NN who had the opposite treatment from her dumbass grandma and aunt turned out well. NN and her mom’s fraught relationship was due to their aggressive style and uncompromising attitudes, if one could have softened up, it would not have gotten so bad. Both mom and NN were responsible for parts of that although the mom, as an adult, should have eaten crow and softened up with apologies, first, this would have led NN to react differently. However it’s easier said than done, mom and NN’s emotions got in the way of clear communication and the message was not received on both sides. NN ‘s mom is super far sighted and she realized early on that NN’s path was dangerous, being the lowest ranked in palace of vipers or in the Luo household were not desirable or safe places for her daughter, she would rather not have her marry than let her leave home without mom’s protection. This led her to downgrade her before others which unfortunately hurt NN’s feelings but in mom’s point of view NN didn’t want to marry and that was the only way to politely decline without offending the Emperor. NN didn’t understand this because she was insecure due to her lack of confidence in her mom. The interesting thing was that NN knew instinctively that her mom would protect her physically. She had absolute confidence in that when they confronted Madam Luo together and also at her betrothal party. Also when her mom became less stringent and nagging to her before her palace lessons, she got sad and said that her mom doesn’t mind her anymore, showing that she does recognize her mom’s effort as signs of love. Also her mom worries herself sick over NN but doesn’t want NN to know. This mom is frustrating but of all her kids, she exerts the most effort on NN’s part and would die and kill to protect her. The reason why she backs off from Buyi is because she recognizes that he would do the same thing. I know this type of mom very well, she’s my own mom. Mine felt the same incredulity as NN’s mom when she realized that I thought she didn’t like me because she praised my cousin and put me down. In her mind not loving me was an impossibility that’s why she never thought I could feel that way. She said all those hurtful things without realizing how hurtful they were beca😢she thought I knew it was from loving intentions and fulfilling her duties as a mom. She thought it would be effective to spur my competitive side by praising cousin but I didn’t get that and thought she found me lacking. The weird thing was she was reacting to her own mom’s negligence in that she had to become too independent and do everything herself when she was young and she wanted more guidance and rules! She thought I was purposefully being willful and defiant. It was a revelation to both of us when we realized that love was always present on both sides. We both changed for the better. When we realized that even though we were different it was okay, our relationship became very satisfying.

I understand why ShaoShang might be upset but she has to realize that there are some things that BuYi can't explicitly say because of the position he holds and how close he is with the royal family. He's a general and some things are top secret information that he has to take to the grave and not tell anyone even his own family. The only thing BuYi can do is warn her (which he has done many times) or take action himself (since he has the authority/power to do so and no one can really touch/hurt him unless it's the Emperor himself). It's also quite silly to me that ShaoShang is trying to help the Crown Prince/Empress even though she is just a commoner. The Crown Prince/Empress have much greater power and should be protecting themselves rather than the other way around...

he could be a bit more frank with her tho. he may not be able to tell her top secret info about his investigations and such, but he can lead with example of how the Crown Prince is too soft-hearted. in the end, she ends up discovering it herself and by then a lot of things have gone wrong because of her meddling. yes, Zisheng told her not to meddle but he knows her nature by that point and he knows she would naturally be curious or come across info since she's practically living there. it would've been fair for her to know why he was telling her not to meddle.

pfff, I thought that was a poor excuse the first time I watched. But knowing the whole story, that's actually a manipulative lie. So, nope, let's remember this when the story unfolds

30:45: Everyone is disappointed that the crown prince keeps his statut cause they all know he's so unfit for the job. Niao Niao grew up without being loved , so in her mind, kindness and love are the most important things in the world. But there are jobs where kindness is just not enough. I'd rather have a mean doctor who does his job very well than a kind one who's bad at it.

LLTG is my favorite series of all time. I've watched it at least once a month since it was released. The way each actor brought their character to life was incredible. The writers did an excellent job at character development and laying strong foundation for each scene. I have to say, how Zhao Lusi performed Shaoshang was convincing to the point where I just detested Shaoshang throughout her growth/maturing phase in the series. She's naive yet narcissistic, but when she begins to believe in herself and starts to act selflessly, it just brings tears to my eyes.

I have a crazy thought--it would have been awesome if Niao Niao was also given to Consort Yue for study sessions. She would have learned from a straight shooter who would have equipped her on what was BS or not BS. Niao Niao would have flourished under her. Sigh. Missed opportunity there...

Niao niao is a wonderful girl, and she is gifted with wisdom, she has the ability to do thing in other, but she found it difficult to understand general Ling. Ling buyi glow up in the palace, he knows everything, he is not asking for much, all he wants is trust and understanding

Yes. In the beginning she’s like an abandoned wild kitten left to survive on her own only trusting her own instincts. So trust is not in her vocabulary.

zisheng is so unfair to put the blame on shaoshang when he barely tells her about his ulterior motive. like does he think shaoshang hanging out in the palace means she can feign ignorance to the politics and relations in the palace. AAAA it’s so frustrating but it’s okay they’re younglings they’re trying to learn how to exist around each other

I don't think he's being unfair, the thing with Shaoshang is she doesn't know her place or when to keep quiet, even when the royals are arguing she will stand up and intervene in things that don't concern her, even when the Emperor speaks. Politics are very dangerous she is placing herself and family in danger

What?? how’s he unfair???ChaoChang is the one who’s always been unfair to him . She doesn’t know her place.she keeps middling in stuff that he warned her not to middle in . Also he’s not obligated to tell her political issues that might be too complicated for her to understand or grasp.he has no choice here but she does she can learn to stop giving her two cents in matters that don’t concern her without needing to be told the whole story that could be confidential informations that might put her and others in danger. Although I love her comebacks she needs to know when to stop. She’s been unreasonable and unfair to him in many situations and every time he tries to tell her a piece of his mind she whines and complains about how he’s overwhelming .when all he does is valid and makes sense and he keeps her safety in mind all the time .all he ever did to her was fair and respectful and he’s never been harsh to her when she does something wrong but she lashes and ignores him over most trivial sht. I just don’t know why they wrote her character dynamics with LB like that .she’s Always been kind of unreasonable to him when all he ever did was save her and tell her how he values her .. when she was with Yao she was all smiley and happy to him when he didn’t do much for her compared to zecheng all because he was someone easy for her to control it makes me feel he deserves so much better than how she treats him. She’s so selfish and always wants things to go her way if they don’t she makes him the bad guy and gives him the col shoulder it’s frustrating.if I had a ling buyi in my life I’d treasure him with my life

Why is he blaming her? All she did was give a friendly advice. The final decision is the emperor's. It's the crown prince's fault for practicing nepotism.

My patient is like the galaxy waiting and waiting for every episode to be uploaded....just like the "The love like the Galaxy"

I wish we could watch at least two episodes at one time. I'm anxious about what will happen next. It's very hard to wait until the next time we can see what will the crown prince do. 💛🕯️🙏🕊️

A 15 yo would have been considered to have finished her higher education and be competent in estate management. Equivalent to a mid20s yo in today's world.

I don't know how many times he has to tell her things aren't as simple as they appear. People keep saying he should tell her his motives and plans, but if someone who grew up in the palace told me that I'd believe them, also, she can mind her business she doesn't need to involve herself in court or palace affairs. She keeps acting impulsively and then want to be mad at him. In the end her helping them is what accelerated the downfall of the empress and crown prince. They would have ended that way anyway but she helped them quicker, poor empress was weak and so was the crown prince. SS only see that they are kind, she doesn't see that they are weak minded and not fit for ruling.

And then again once she argued: "I don't know about politic..but I believe...bla bla bla." I was like... well young lady, If you know you don't know about something, then please either learn first well if you're really interested in it for whatever reason you want to do it, or just stay away..don't get involved in something you don't know. The stupidest thing one can do is to impulsively actively doing something in an area that you know nothing of and then still self-rightheously arguing and rejecting the advises from others instead of doing self-reflection. I somehow feels like she is often arguing simply just for the sake of having an argument and not being defeated... just because she doesn't like critique, no matter the reason of the criticism is that. The issue isn't that important... more important to her is either someone is nice to her or not, but not why someone is nice and why criticism and punishment is sometimes necessary. She always said that she is the way she is, ok...i understand. One shouldn't marry someone with the hope to change the personality, but it is also not ok to never want to compromise. Who said that one can always live completely the way one wants and get whatever one wants? Is she really too naive to think that she can marry a perfect man? Even with a man like A Yao, does she think she will definitely be able to lead the life the way she wants? That she never have to change? That's nonsense. Everyone has to mature...no matter which man she marries, she will have to compromise in one way or another if she still wants to make the marriage works. And in that era, does she really believe that as a woman she can live alone without support and care about things? If so, why doesn't she just run away now alone then? She says, she never thinks of consequences and will always stay like that. Well well..until when then? Does she think she can live being a little girl forever? Someday she will also be a wife and a mother, no matter which man her husband will be... would she really still be able to live carelessly like that? How naive... If the country is doomed by the rule of incapable person, how could the citizen..and even her family could live well? She is really shortsighted person but think her self capable of defending herself even in such a place like a palace. Without LBY behind her, who would ever care of helping her? Why would crown princess ever risk offending others with her own weak state if she doesn't think of LBY's owing them a favor and might help them one day? And why couldn't she think that her helping them might even put them in even more danger? Crown prince is still rather lucky that the emperor is a rightheous one and caring. Otherwise, he might not even be able to be deposed in peace and could end up dead instead. Retreating early could have been even better to save his whole family if he knows that he's not capable. Insisting to fight for the throne when you're not good enough would endanger the whole clan and friends. She has no idea about all this but still so self-rightheously doing things without listening LBY's advise who has been an insider for years and being the most favourite person beside the emperor. However.. I am also annoyed that people who know them, like Ling Buyi, and even her family...they all know that despite her street smartness, the also know how naive, ignorant, reckless and simple minded she is, but they just don't want to speak to her bluntly. She is just too stupid n too short-sighted to understand riddles and hidden meaning behind words, they should just point the fact and their meaning on her face, as blunt as possible...lest she will never understand and keep hitting her head on the poles and jump onto the pit doing whatever she believes i right with her own standard.

Niao Niao thinks in terms of relationship Buyi in terms of politics......they have to find a common understanding of the effects of their thinking

She was also right she didn't need to know about palace rule or other things he drag her into this mass although she is common gurl and it's difficult to understand palace.

I’m anxiously waiting for the new episode. The weekend seems so long😢.

Love that you are watching this repeatedly because I will be rewatching it because it was so well written and performed with so many plots and schemes. Rewatching is so much better than watching something cringy just to have something to watch. I prefer quality over quantity.

Shaoshang is a catalyst for change, for a better society and better country. The powder kegs between relationships and social factions were already poised. It just takes a spark.

Am waiting for you Zhoa Lusi..Am not addicted to Chinese drama de....am watching only Zhoa Lusi drama😄

the main thing that he can't protect her from any danger. when he made her his bride, he's already made her fall in court's ophidiarium. she couldn't be not involved into those situations just because she's LBY future wife. all who wants to harm him, firstly will play this card with Niao Niao.

Right, he was talking to her like she had an option to stay out of the politics. By existing she was involved. Even if she had stood there and been quy, she still would have been used, even with him protecting her.

Episode 32 and 33 is out..Niao is really a strong lady I don't know how she try to keep in all the pain to endure it her self..she does have a great acting skill😌☺️

Niao Niao makes the Empress smile and eat more trying to do her best to make her feel better after the argument with Fifth Princess 😃

She is not wrong it is complicated marrying someone like him . Maybe she thinks they are being bullied like her and giving them advice helps them out of the situation in her eyes . She is in a place where she really knows no one and is trying to fit in .

Someone commented that SS did not learn, and should have followed LBY instructions to stay away from the drama, and that other characters should not be blamed for her not doing so. First, LBY was unreasonable to think that she could stay away from the palace drama. This is partly because the moment someone enters the palace they become part of the drama regardless of if they want to or not. Also, as LBY's future wife, she is a target for every jealous female, those that despise the lower classes, or those who just want to use her to get to LBY. She is 15 years old and only had experience with openly kind and openly cruel people, thus built a simple philosophy to live by, that this philosophy allows for the kind treatment of kind people is a miracle, many abused persons become outright bullies just to warn people off from trying to hurt them. As an uneducated person she did not learn about history and thus also didn't learn much about complex human nature and palace workings/drama. She doesn't know these people, their background, and how that is relevant to them and herself. Those in the palace will come at her, trick her, and or use her so how is she to know how to avoid and protect herself. As for the queen, she also doesn't teach her how to navigate the palace drama, and even if she did it would be useless, because her strategies would not work for SS. The fact that she is being taught and cherished by the queen also makes her a target.

very well stated! the fact that she did her best with what was presented to her is also very admirable. the advice she gave to the Crown Prince may not have favoured Zisheng's plans, but it was still a very good piece of advice.

@@shakirasourjelly3819 all she did was talk to the Crown Prince because he was kind. she didn't know how much family affairs play into the court politics. did she receive a crash course or some kind of explanation from Ling Buyi about why exactly the Crown Prince was inept? no. all she was told was "stay out of it" or "I'm doing this for your own good". how much can she stay out of? is she supposed to not talk to anyone? when she was sent into the palace without any knowledge of the royal family and their relatives, things were bound to go wrong. i agree that she took things too far by making duplicate Tiger Seals. that's literally treason. no matter how angry she was at Ling Buyi at the time, that was just plain stupid. i think it might have made him realise too that her worldview was still very black and white. the Crown Princess was kind to her so she would help her no matter what. while that shows loyalty, Shaoshang was beginning to become loyal to the wrong people. in the end what both Ling Buyi and Shaoshang needed was more communication. he wanted her to share with him all her griefs, but refused to do the same in return. without proper knowledge, she was bound to make mistakes.

Shaoshang does not want to be lectured since ep 1, she never admits when she is wrong and only bring trouble to her relatives instead of thinking in the consequences. When the consequences are beyond punishment and are within the politics of the country, she should be put in her place, she is wrong!

Ling B is like the old way (I was raised). When someone older/more experienced tells you to do/ not to do something you're expected to listen. You do/ don't do it. No questions asked. Cheng S is like the new way. Tell someone not to do something and they want it explained. They need to discuss and have a conversation. Ling will tell Cheng why, but he's just a stages guy who reveals a little at a time, it's not planned. He wants her to step back and observe but her nievite wants her to like everybody and to fix everything. So now instead of aquiescing to Ling's request she says I don't know how to please you. Not the issue. If you keep interfering, you will bring danger/harm to your door. Liiiisssstttteeennn!!!!

Shaoshang in this drama is quick to react, she wants to know and meddle in everything, but is lacking judgment and is shallow in her reasoning. Her character could be better staged to respond to the mature General, otherwise it could be seen as a judgment failure from Buyi for having choosing her.

Both CSS and LBY are stuck in their own way. One has to give or they need to communicate. LBY like to move in the shadows, his intention secretive. CSS like to handle things head on. CSS is right. She didn’t have to be in such a dangerous and complicated place like the palace. She just wanted to live freely but LBY proposed and she was force into this engagement. LBY only said don’t do this /that but never explicit say WHAT it is he don’t want her to do. CSS - who was not book educated, did not come from an aristocratic family so she does not how they works. Most of the day she spend inside the palace. She only wanted to comfort the people who was so nice to her - something she rarely given since birth. She is grateful to the people who has been gracious to her because of her abused past. She didn’t anticipate her action would have such consequences because LBY never told her. LBY need to understand he been in this game for decades while CSS only been in it for a couple months. He lured her in the lion dens while have her blindfolded. And I think the most important thing right now for CSS is she has not fully in love or trust LBY yet. People forget that ~ LBY is still chasing her. She been thrown into a complete new world and is still trying to understand and love this man who despite saying all kind of romantic words and gesture, has not show her he trust her. If I was CSS I will find it hard to give my heart to someone who don’t trust me, let alone CSS who grew up suspicious because of her childhood

Shaoshang overreacts to Ling Buyi... Like he didn't sound mean, you should think about his words instead...

I was rooting for the crown princess I knew she was jealous of the crown prince’s ex girlfriend but I was hoping she would eventually learn and get over it

She’s still jealous of a 10 year old relationship. It doesn’t seem like the crown prince treats her poorly. It’s all in her mind. He agreed not to have concubines so he has respect for her feelings. It’s unfortunate she can’t let go of the past.

all Shaoshang really did was give some advice. she would naturally be talking to people around her, she only happened to run into the Crown Prince, it not like she went looking for him. what should she have done? for Zisheng to say that she shouldn't have gotten involved, on one hand he's right but on the other hand it really wasn't her choice either. she just happened to help out someone in need because it was someone the Empress worried about and cared for 🤷🏻‍♀️ how was she to think of long term consequences when she had zero context of the situation to begin with?

The tender moments in this series really gets me everytime! I love this series!

I don't blame Nionio meddling the Palace issues..there is a time when someone can't mind her business ☺

Now would have been a damn good time to tell her the absolute truth!

What a lovely drama and how beautifully written and delightfully acted. The politics are more personalised because we see how it is affecting the royal family as people not as figureheads. It is wonderfully done.

SS cares about people who are kind to her and to LBY. Her majesty is the closes she has got of a motherly figure and the prince saved LBY's life. How can anyone except her not to try to comfort them? Then if so, she is probably not the girl that all of them fell for. Even though I do think she is too implosive and do not think about the consequences, but this fits her character, an uneducated, reckless young girl, who craves love and approvement from other people. She can only learn to grow from things like this, not to be told don't do this, don't do that.

He is experienced in the palace politics and her taking revenge on a royal could get her entire household killed. She’s too stupid and doesn’t listen to him ever. She’ll be sorry when her family pays for her mistakes. He already told her that her revenge before was against her peers-now it’s very different.

Ling Buyi didn't have to wait too long for Marquis Yue to start plotting again. Once he saw the 5th princess with all her many men it was a wrap. The Marquis was going to do whatever it takes to end her engagement to his family...even if it meant destroying his sister in the process. Marquis Yue is too arrogant and he's walking right into Buyi's trap. The arrogant 5th princess is just feeding the flames...even more with her dismissive attitude.....Ling Buyi is using one stone to take down three birds. NN is at the top of her game. She's starting to master all the household duties...the Empress is a great teacher. The very thing her mother said that she was incapable of doing...she's mastering it. ok..NN's self esteem took a major hit when her mother belittled her like that...so I'm hoping she starts seeing the beauty in herself. I'm glad she's starting to bond with the crown princess...but I don't really trust her. She seems to have a hidden side to her. Hopefully I'm wrong...because NN needs a friend among all those vipers. Seriously these royal brats are horrible...The 5th princess is the worst. I can't wait until Karma comes knocking at her door. She's evil as hell...and only cares about herself. She doesn't even give a damn about her own mother's mental state. I'm glad the Empress has NN by her side. NN is really good at coaxing her....unfortunately she's making a lot of enemies along the way. Madam Cheng can only dream about receiving this kind of treatment from NN. She definitely burned that bridge...NN doesn't care about filial piety...she only cares about how she's being treated. Wow...the old maid just rubbed salt in the wound of Jitong...and now the little maid is making things worse. These women are delusional as hell. Buyi has made his feelings very clear. It's time for them to move on. I love NN...she's asking the Empress to summon her parents to the palace...so she can brag about her....lol Her mother's words/belittling has taken a toll on her. She wants her parents to see that she's capable of great things. Her mother has never regarded NN's actions as nothing more than luck..or cheap tricks. The Empress sees value in everything that NN does...and that's a huge ego boost for her. I love the way the Empress handles NN...she's teaching her how to find value in her parents'teachings. I love how NN is using what she just learned from the Empress to help her son. He's incompetent but he does care about his mother. NN words helped the foolish prince....unfortunately I think she just ruined Buyi's plans....lol He worked hard on his scheme to get rid of all the worthless officials...and now it's blowing up in his face because NN decided to meddle. Ling Buyi/NN taking a stroll is so adorable. He's taking the time to ask about her day..so sweet. She's so happy that she was able to help the Empress as well as the crown prince. I'm glad he decided to ask her about her role in the memorial service. He already knew what she did...but now it's out on the table/they can discuss it together. The smug look on his face...is funny as hell. He was proud of her for taking action because it helped him to expose the 3rd princes as well as Marquis Yue. I love how gentle he is with her. He's right she acted recklessly...so he has a right to be concerned. She's surprised that he's not scolding her...all he wants is for her to trust him...so they can share the burdens together. NN is so used to doing things on her own...it's going to take a minute for her to fully trust him enough to where she can share everything with him. How sweet...he's telling her to give him a chance to protect her. This man is pure gold...lol He's everything she needs and more. I really wish that NN would listen to his warnings regarding the crown prince/the Eastern palace. She almost confided in him...but his warnings/attitude soured her position. These two will continue to butt heads if they don't learn how to communicate with each other. I knew NN was going to ruin his plans when she counseled the crown prince. Buyi knew immediately that NN was behind it. The disappointed look on Buyi's face was heartbreaking to watch...his plans were foiled by his soon-to-be wife....lol The 3rd prince didn't look too happy. Marquis Yue is even more disappointed that the crown prince was given even more authority. He's dumb enough to act recklessly which is what Buyi wants....It's a good thing that Buyi is quick on his feet....the crown prince just confirmed NN's involvement...he's bitterly disappointed that his plan blew up in his face. The way he is looking at her right now is scary as hell. She wasn't aware of his plans. She thought she was helping the Empress by saving the crown prince. He's the one that refuses to tell her what's going on. He gives vague hints...and expects her to fall in line but her knows her temperament...and he knows that she'll go to the ends of the earth for someone that shows her kindness. He still refuses to tell her the truth. These little arguments could've been avoided if they both learned how to communicate with each other...they continue to take one step forward and ten steps backwards. It's like pulling teeth while watching them right now...lol She's right he never tells her anything...so of course she's going to step on his toes. Wow...he just stepped in it...lol the last thing he should have said was that he was doing it for her own good....that burns...because it's the same excuse that her mother used when she was using corporal punishment to discipline her. I'm guessing she's having major flashbacks at the moment. She still doesn't think that she's good enough for him...damn her self-esteem took a major hit. I feel bad for her. Her heart is totally broken right now. I felt her pain. I'm not sure how they're going to get passed this...but I hope they learn from it...and start to communicate with each other.

Her character needs more development, I thought after all she witnessed in that city, she would have matured (like most people) but she’s still stubborn and blames ML when she doesn’t take his advice 🤦🏽‍♀️ lol… her character is quite selfish, hope they develop the character more before the series ends.

Yeah like he is putting everything the king worked for in jeopardy by assigning unqualified people to leadership positions because of familial relationships. That's nepotism where meritocracy should be.

I feel bad for shaoshang she think are helping her majesty she end up hurting her and the crown prince and her future husband and helping the enemy. her arrogant nature and lack of knowledge and experience make her a ticking bomb for the general. she still rebellious and don't take responsibilities for her action. she told him, you don't tell me 39:09 your plan, your schemes, and your ideas, shaoshang you wrong on this one and you should listen to him and obey him. he is a general after all

you guys know that niao niao is only 15 right? how can a 15 yr old make mature decisions? she had no one to take care of since she was a child. she had to survive on her own. she didn't have anyone to tecah her. just because she attended palace for some days doesn't make her a smart genuis. She is learning. Both niao niao and zisheng are correct in their own way. Just it is inevitable to avoid such arguments when two people with different mentality are together. They can sort it out!

I went camping with my family over the weekend on a Dinosaur badlands it’s worth going outdoors . Now I can watch again LB/SS Love like the Galaxy.

I understand the crown princes feeling but this isn’t some simple matter, he’s letting his family members have important positions when they don’t deserve them, aren’t able to help the people of the town. :/

I so know the way she feels when she met him at the bridge. Coming to him like a breeze if only because he's there waiting for you, and then finding out he is waiting, but is also disappointed in you, angry at you for being yourself. But I so wish he can understand her better. I mean, he seemed to have it so right back then in that secret meeting at the forest. After he got her, he's blundering and tumbling. Y!!!

To all you complainers about SS. Just stop. She is 15 and this behavior is normal. Whether you like it or not. Teenagers are in one of the hardest fazes in life to navigate. It amazes me that any of us live past it. LB is expecting a 15 year old wild child with no experience, to suddenly grow up and understand palace politics. LB wants her on his level now, so he can marry her. This girl understands she is at a disadvantage, but she is kind, naive and wants to help people. There she goes again trying to be human in a nest of snakes.🤷‍♀️

Whatever fifth princess said to crown prince was absolutely correct. He doesn't have the guts to act a justified ruler. And shaoshang is terrible in believing in the crown princess.
