Multi-Scale Bass Guitar Build; Part 3/3
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
The 3rd of 3 videos showing the creation of my first multi-scale bass guitar. This jazz bass was started in 2016 and completed in 2018, an on and off again project for me when I had the time. Part 3 shows the body construction, cutting, shaping, final prep work and finishing. Recorded in my first and 2nd at-home basement shops, you see different time periods of my making. The 5 piece maple/walnut neck is topped with a lightly curled maple fretboard bound with jatoba. The neck was then glued to a body of ash topped with redwood burl, maple and jatoba veneers. Scale length is 35"-32.5"
The song in this video was recorded using this bass guitar and is a great example of the tones that can be achieved, different from the variety in the previous videos.
