Hey y'all decided to do something that was HIGHLY requested. As I mentioned before I don't have too much time anymore because I'm auditioning running a few side businesses and working on a really amazing project that I want to share with y'all soon. Your story of growing up watching cooking shows and learning to make meals for yourself just hit home with me that's how I grew up I spent a lot of time by myself growing up because my mom was a working single mom and times were tough. So playing around with foods we actually had at home to make something comforting and satisfying was a great escape for me. Even now creating a dish and cooking is a way of like meditation for me.

RivenKami I believe it's Korean for Eating Broadcast or eating show, I can't remember if David mentioned that, and is basically eating on camera. I've seen it mostly amongst Koreans and KZreadrs like Keemi post them a lot. :)

Yes! I love this! It doesn't matter about who is doing a mukbang, but the fact that you have a story to talk with us while we are also watching along. I would prefer no live videos because I tend to also eat along with you when I'm are watching the video. I love the concept of cooking the food therefore there isn't much take out foods. Keep it up! I can't wait to watch more!

This is probably one my favourite videos you've done David, I hope you make another one. Btw I also grew up on instant Ramen

I enjoyed the video, I think an episode on "weird combinations" that you love to eat would be cool. Like I think we all have strange combinations we eat. And having it be live would be pretty cool because you could reply to our questions as you eat, but that way you'd have to do only one dish for each stream and to be honest I wouldn't mind.

As a cook, I really really appreciate people like you who recognize food not just as a means of nourishment... but a way to reconnect to childhood (instant noodles was also one of the first meals I made for myself since my parents worked their ass off growing up), and at the same time as an art to be able to give a meal a little sum'sum to MAKE it special. Um he actually isn't. There are many different chopsticks and many different ways to use those chopsticks. The way that Davids using them is actually how Chinese and Vietnamese people use their chopsticks. its just easier to use that certain technique with certain chopsticks.

Your story and my story are almost identical....grew up without cable so Saturday's were my favorite days because there would be cooking shows from 9am-2pm on PBS. Those shows, plus my parents were huge inspiration for me to love food and cooking. Keep it up bro! I'm from Daly City so reppin NorCal!

Yessss!!! Favorite ramen video. My three favorite instant ramen💕 Only Koreans understand. I like how you added to the ramen. I usually just add egg, veggies, cheese. I'm definitely going to try your recipes!

This makes me a little sad in a good way. Last summer I went to my Korean language camp (because I live in the midwest, they don't teach many asian languages anywhere), and we would eat this everyday for the 2 weeks I was there. Every time you took a bite, it brought me back to exactly how those things tasted. From every warm noodle, to the crisp bite of the pickled radish. I miss it all so much! It brings me back to my home away from home.

That Shin Ramyeon black is my jam! I add green onions, pork belly, cheese, poached egg and scalloped tteok to mine. It's my go-to meal for when I don't feel like cooking. And I've also gotten my husband hooked on the stuff!
