You went from a homeless man to a brand new man, that was scarily impressive you were able to go against the grain during the first pass with the Muhle R41. That blade was mowing down your beard like it was nothing.

I don t understand if you are most skilled barber or a man with a crocodile skin, but shaving that fast with Katana blades and Shark 41 is really impressive.

Greetings from Texas. I remember watching your very first Mühle R41 "MANS RAZOR" shaving video. I would like to thank you sir for you where my inspiration to purchase my first R41. Now I have three of them. The original R41, The R41 Grandé , and my latest one, the R41 "Twist". I've enjoyed three pass wet shaving for many years with my R41's . Thank you. However, My hats off to you sir. You Sir are an absolute * Artist * with a Mühle R41. To your heath Sir. Cheers PS ~ I was the one who always enjoyed your plastic army men videos . Pure Brilliance indeed. Best Wishes to you & yours.

One tip: If you have no "ü"-key on your keyboard, type "Muehle" for "Mühle" instead of „Muhle. It can lead to bizarre confusions with German speaking people, when not using Umlauts (regarding both articulated and written words). E.g.: Schlosser = locksmith Schlösser = palaces Masten = masts mästen = to fatten schwul = homosexual schwül = muggy Bar = barroom Bär = bear Dosen = cans/tins dösen = to doze Schussel = scatterbrain Schüssel = bowl schon = already schön = beautiful/handsome So without the possibility to use "ä", "ö" or "ü", better use "ae", "öe" or "ue" as an substitute. Best regards from Vienna!

Thanks for sharing that. (It's been a long, long, long while since you've had a shaving video). Any plans trying a slant razor? I wish you could track down an iKon Tech (which I find noticeably more aggressive than the Mühle R41 (2013), though I thought you said you're using the 2011 edition) or a Roedter 1909 Titan (which appears to be a Fatip Grande with a misshapen top cap). After seeing this short, time-lapsed video (with a mild Merkur 15C and Barbasol shaving cream), it seems any safety razor could shave a full beard (given the single blade) -- /watch?v=JB4GislfVgw I'd like to see how the mild Feather AS-D2 or a OneBlade safety razor would handle such a task.

Great video, that looks like an amazing razor. You shaved very fast, all the hair came right off and you got zero nicks or cuts, very impressive razor and technique you have. I was surprised you didn't cut yourself because not only did you shave fast you went straight against the grain to start instead of with the grain first. Just goes to show it doesn't matter how long or thick your beard is if you have a good razor because it will take it right off. The length of the beard doesn't really matter at all because the blade is only making contact with your skin and the beginning of the hair, so as long as it's sharp it will come right off. You can't do any shave like this with a cartridge razor because all they do is clog up with clumps of hair, you constantly have to stop and rinse and go over the same spots again and again which causes irritation. Those razors are only designed for shaving stubble so you always have to trim your beard close before shaving. It's nice to have a razor like this and be able to pull it out and shave no matter how long you've let your beard grow without having to worry about trimming it down with a trimmer first.

I bought a lot of shaving stuff at auction and one of the Razors was an r41. I was not familiar with it but paired it with my favorite blades-feather. One of the most aggressive razors out there paired with the most aggressive blade. It tore me apart!!! I am glad you faired better but I was really scared for you when you were setting up for the shave. Wow! Ok. Im going to dig it out and try it again. Just NOT WITH THAT BLADE.

Hallo.

Very satisfied as I thought it might be too aggressive but perfect for my skin, only use it when I've got a bit of growth or if I'm travelling but really happy with the purchase as it serves both of my purpose. My goto Razors are Muhle r89 and Merkur barber pole razor with the twist open at the bottom. You are my hero. To use Muhle R41 with such speed and to do this in THREE PASSES??? You are a very brave man. And you did it against the gran most of the time. And you are funny. What you missed is to talk more about Muhle R41. That it is an OPEN comb razor, so it is hyper-aggressive, because you handle it with the open blade. People must know that. It is not just an efficient razor, it is a maximum aggressive one. And if we talk about removing this big beard, you would have much better results with the straight razor or shavette, you could remove your beard with the grain, with great ease. Then you can use a straight or safety razor, to finish the whole thing.
