    I remember seeing him tapping and thinking it was weird. Seemed to me like maybe Filho might’ve thought he fouled Mokaev and Mokaev was just letting him know it was ok. It didn’t make sense for him to tap bcuz he wasn’t in danger.

    Nope, if you know anything about jiujitsu. This seemed to be a fake tap. Meaning he did it so that the opponent thought he was tapping and the opponent then stopped for a second and that allowed Mokaev to pass. Seemed like cheating to me.

    And his opponent was debuting in the ufc lol. His first fight lmao. I hope Mokaev is the same after that. That back tendon is the trickiest one. Surgery leaves you with a high chance of mobility and moderate pain issues. Leaving it to heal on it's own can also be just as bad for some cases. Not smart.

    I knew this guy before the UFC and was sure he would be Champ. First i admired his calmness and focus in the lock but from what i have read. I don't think he will never be the same ... Just to prove a point 🙃 and become the youngest Champion . It's over for him 😳 He damaged/tore all 4 major ligaments in his knee. Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) Posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) Medial collateral ligament (MCL) Lateral collateral ligament (LCL) And have a shoulder operation soon.

    Whatever happens, Mokaev needs to get a title shot at least a day before Jones set the record in 2011. That's a division skipping, that actually makes sense.

    I'm worried this young man refuses to tap. Remember Nogueira. If somebody breaks his knee or elbow, his career will be over. Better to tap. Sometimes you have to be intelligent. To be disable will not help him to feed his family.

    He was definitely tapping but I couldn't figure out why. It was kind of strange. The camera angle was bad. I couldn't see a sub attempt at that time, if there was one.

    You don't know for sure, some people have extremely flexible joints and forgiving cartilage, ligaments etc so it's not a cut and dry conversation that we can speculate on! It could obviously be an issue going forward and I know it would be with my knee but we don't know for sure. He has youth on his side for sure and hopefully for his sake he just has some stretched and strained soft tissue injuries.
