Mueller Stainless Steel French Press Review

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Everything you need to know about the Mueller stainless steel French Press coffee maker including how to make French Press coffee, and how to clean your French Press. I love a classic glass carafe French Press, but the glass is delicate, and since we’re traveling a lot, I ordered a stainless steel coffee maker for our travel kitchen. Over the years I've made coffee every which way, and using a French press is the easiest, quickest, and most reliable way to brew a perfect cup of coffee.
Thanks for checking out this Mueller French Press review. Affiliate links below are for everything discussed in the video. And for more French Press info, check out my blog post www.myfoodchannel.com/french-p...

    Yes, this is the one can to rule them all ... I love it. After having shreddered over the decades at least one dozen of glass cans we decided a couple of years back to get this one. Best decision ever, works fine and we had never again any problem with broken glass inlays. Also no other problems, it simply works.

    yes, I've cracked several glass coffee carafes over the years as well...since we'll be traveling by car this summer, packing and unpacking, I knew there was no point in buying a glass French Press! Hope y'all are doing well!

  • @bangalorebobbel

    @bangalorebobbel

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@ChefBuckRecipes yes half of the broken ones broke on travels ... really painful if you arrive in the hotel and your first step is flooding the room with hot coffee since the glass is broken and you didn't notice ... Other problem was that French Press wasn't such common here in India in those days and we had problems to get the glass inlays or even a new French Press. Since we have the stainless steel model (maybe 4-5 years or so?) all problems are gone. Even though we do not always unscrew the whole thing for cleaning ... ;-) Meanwhile French Press became very common here, people slowly replace their traditional South Indian Coffee Makers by French Presses. Btw. ours didn't come with that extra coffee powder container ... Btw2: ever tried to prepare coffee powder by using mortar/pestle instead of a grinder? Yes so far we are doing well, still waiting for 2nd vaccination. Vaccines little bit rare in the moment, it seems ... Numbers of new cases are currently raising like never before, new wave running up. Our city has a population of maybe 15 millions, so we have quite some cases, of course. Hospitals are meanwhile running out of beds, oxygen, and ventilators, so better not to have Corona or whatever else serious. Around us in the hood plenty of new cases, luckily most asymptomatic or under home treatment, but we had also already some death cases in our layout. Weekend curfew, means from 6am to 10am one is allowed to go shopping (grocery and pharmacy only), else strictly staying at home required. During the week night curfew from 8pm to 6am. So, well, we stay at home, trying to deal with the situation which is currently quite a little bit scary ... ;-) What about you guys, hope doing well!?

Since buying my first AeroPress in 2012 I have not had a mediocre cup of coffee, hot, cold, you name it. Wishing you and CG a future of great coffee! 😎 afterthought: I actually have traveled a lot with my original and it's been so great that my sister had to get one too and she agrees with me that, home or away, it's just the best! "thin glass that breaks when you just look at it" ... yup. I actually need a new French press myself as well, as mine cracked down the bottom while cleaning it earlier this week... And I even was careful not to shock it directly with hot water, and gently increased the temperature of the cleaning water! Bloody fragile things... I'm a bit hesitant of using a stainless steel one for brewing tea though; a bit wary of how it might affect the taste.

    Isn't the idea of the plunger that you basically separate your liquid from the grounds once you press it down, to prevent the beverage from getting stronger?

  • @ChefBuckRecipes

    @ChefBuckRecipes

    3 жыл бұрын

    yep...the plunger separates and contains the grinds from the liquid so you can pour it freely, but the coffee will still get stronger if left steeping in the pot (just like a tea bag left in a cup)

  • @michaelmerck7576
