Do you know how hard it is to find a bass player like that who will join a metal band? Especially back then.

Chad's high screams are some of the best screams I have ever heard in metal. I listen to lots of deathcore and metalcore and stuff like that, and Chad's highs just stand out. I miss Mudvayne so much

cuz a lot of the screaming nowadays is done so carefully as there's all these "correct" ways to scream without damaging your vocal chords... i've only see the whole blowing your voice out thing happen with singers who don't rely on a safe technique, and that would include chad gray from this era. he was not doing it in a controlled manner, he literally destroyed his voice for L.D.50 and you could hear it in the long term.

You guys ever heard cradle of filth?! Amazing is Danny Filth (vocals!) Most incredible talent and sounds I've ever heard come from a human being!! 🖤 But yeah...Chad n I go way back! Guy has helped me through some serious shit🤘I don't know him personally but 2004-5 I was in a bad place (14yrs old) 😂 I had "problems". I maybe biast cause ld50, is my bible, but matt is a awesome drummer, ryan is excellent on the bass and greg has his own stand sound and dirty chords and chad had a nasaly delivery of anger and realism with self written lyrics, mudvayne us not oretty they are a nightmare ugly and real and every metal is... RAW un polished and fucking awesome. If u dont like em thats fine thats ur own opinion. Art is opinion. But inwont argue you with you. They had a affect on me and some ppl 2000 and we are family so we are bonded in away by a awesome band with a fucked up line up facing there own mental battles id kove mudvayne to reunite and go out on tour with american head charge r.i.p ,bryan and coal chamber and mushroom head and slipknot if corey pulls ut back alittle and quits acting like a fucking diva

Had this concert on dvd - was absolutely mesmerizing and powerful in a way few things are. I would crank my system so loud my neighbors (I lived in a house with space between homes) would politely complain to me. Really, my house shook. It was fucking awesome. Very cathartic. I miss those days.

I lived it. Summer Sanitarium. First concert ever at Seahawks Stadium aka The Clink. The entire city heard that concert. The entire line-up kicked ass. Big whoop, wanna fight about it lol

They were/are nu metal, but these guys were one of the very few who were actually deep and complex. Most everyone else was top 40, studio radio friendly stuff that just kept repeating the same 3 sentences with cheap generic beats. Mudvayne was on a whole another level!

This band was first heavy metal band I ever got into. By heavy metal, I just mean, Heavy, Metal, not the genre of Heavy Metal that people have listed. Still till this day I absolutely love this band.

My buddy seen Mudvayne in 2002 at a festival, he said they were the loudest band there.

Chad will always be my favorite singer....

Vildhjarta is king of anticipation imo and have a unique sound, if anythign Vildhajrta/Humanity's Last Breath have taken over this feeling for me and have delivered. Might be something you want to check out.

I was there, man. And you are or wrong. Summer Sanitarium Tour @ Seahawk Stadium. Ft. DEFTONES, MUDVAYNE, LIMP BIZKIT, LINKIN PARK, & METALLICA. It was so loud, the entire city heard it.

With all these Rock Group Singer's having Problems, it's good to see one Chad Gray that is doing well and Healthy 👍

Misfit-Los I think that no matter what, anything chad does is a fucking masterpiece! I mean, Hellyeah has recently become amazing and sounds more like mudvayne. But I think it's ultimately up to the bands. And I think that he is still the best songwriter/singer/artist alive to this day.
