We have wanted to get back to the Ferry for such a long time - today is the day, and what a day it is!!
The weather greets us with a dreich (adj: misserable) day, but it doesn't stop us from making the most of this amazing historic town!
We start in the mud of the small open harbour and get off to a great start with some really amazing sea glass and pottery finds! So many bottle necks here... but Nicole really wants beads, beads, and more beads if possible, so we set our aim on getting over to what we will all - Wee Beady Bay!
Before we do, Craig takes a minute to look at the Fisherman's Cemetery - a site that once hosted a Medieval Chapel dedicated to pilgrims traveling from Edinburgh and elsewhere to the Cathedral Town of St Andrews. This place has been the stage for several very notable historic moments in Scotland's history - we may have to come back to tell you more!
Onward... on to wee beady bay! Nicole's luck is holding strong until the weather decides to chase us away for another day - we'll be back, that's for sure... but for today, we will just have to say cheerio to this important wee coastal village that holds a big place in the history of this country.
When we get back into the warmth of home, Nicole takes a closer look at our Victorian glass bead finds of the day!
We hope you enjoyed today's video... Thank you so much!

So many memories of my time in Pittenweem bent over double looking for tiny treasures. I’d fill my pockets till they bulged with all my finds. I have a wee blue bead too and my granddaughter loves picking it out of my bowl of finds and admiring it. Lovely to watch this.

I was actually feeling chilly just watching you two brave the inclement weather in this video. Mind you, there's also a very brisk west wind blowing the snow around outside my door. The temperature is -5C, so who knows what the wind chill is. Brrrrr! I'm doing about 50% on the "Can you see it" scale. LOL I'm sure I would do much better if I was actually there doing the scanning. The turquoise bead is the star find, I think. I'm looking forward to seeing you make it into a necklace on Sunday, Nicole. Bye for now.

Oh it was a cold and rainy day Noralee! But probably around 5C , so much warmer than -5C!!! It's so tricky to see anything in the grey mud - and I am sure we missed lots of treasures.... all the more reason to go back! I agree with you - the large turquoise bead was my favourite too and it made a lovely pendant for the Sunday video... see you then x

What a wonderful adventure! Thank you for braving the cold to bring us along! And, you braved a lot of mud and muck. Wow! The beads were all so amazing! I’ve never seen anything like the green one. The turquoise one was lovely, too. Did you use something special to clean it up? I loved the “can you see it?” segments, but I didn’t do too well today. Craig, what an interesting history of the little cemetery. Your history lessons are something that I really appreciate. Thanks for your work to make your channel interesting, educational, fun, and relaxing! Take care, especially with all of the storms that I hear have battered your area! ❤️🙏 Looking forward to Sunday, and jewelry making!

Thank you kindly Ruth! Goodness , it's so difficult to see anything in the grey mud - you can really only search for unusual shapes and the odd blue if you are lucky. The large turquoise bead was my favourite too and it made an amazing pendant for our Sunday video!. Cleaning is mainly a toothbrush and elbow grease and 'the pink stuff' ... Yes we had 4 named storms this year already, but I think storm Arwen was the strongest in our area with thousands of trees uprooted and households without power... See you Sunday! x

Wow Nicole you just found all kinds of goodies! I can’t believe two beans in one day! That one looked really pretty. There is another channel that goes on the beach and find Scottish glass. She was on some beach that had just scads of glass. It was everywhere. She wasn’t interested in pottery only glass and wee wee pieces. There were all different colors. It was just amazing. However she forgets she’s holding onto the camera and it makes you kind of sick to watch so you can’t watch for very long. Also passed over at Clay marble to get to very plain piece of clear glass. I nearly choked on whatever I was eating! Lol and I was hoping to see if you guys had been on that beach but I can’t remember the name of it. Anyway without being unkind, I would much rather watch your channel and you do! For many different reasons. Thank you so much. Love to both you and Craig💜🤟🏻😎🍀🇺🇸

It really was a great day for wee beads! We've no idea why this bay catches all the beads - its so tricky to find them in that gray mud though!! Oh!! We'd love to know which beach that was - we're not sure where it might be - it might be just across the water from where we were in this one! hmmm! Must go visit to find out!! haha!! We can't have those wee clay marbles being left all alone like that! :D Oh! wobbly camera is... well, yeah, it can bring on the sea-sick feelings! I feel like I need a microscope to see the detail in the beads. Was the green cylindrical bead green all the way through? Was it uv glass? It is so pretty and to think of its history, and tumbling around on the ocean floor. That you can see it amongst all the other things in the sand, it is amazing.
