As I have said before, Yugioh is the opposite of other card games, there is no external resource like mana, it is super fast, lots of essay text, but in exchange, people who learn yugioh have an easier time learning other card games, I learned the basics of the pokemon tcg in just 1 hour since basic yugioh was much more complicated.

I think you should clarify the criteria you’re using to judge cards. I think a better option is to ask whether the card has ever been meta, and also mention its release year. It gets really difficult for the contestants to judge cards without that type of context, because you might run into scenarios where you bring up an old card like mirror force which saw meta play for over a decade and say it’s good, but then show an objectively more powerful card that never saw play due to it being much newer

Inspektor Border is insane . Everyone hates this Card because is a Instant win or Instant lose Card.

Thanks for having us! We had a ton of fun recording this 😁💖

I like that you gave them a boss monster from a random archetype. One of the biggest troll you could make is giving them a card that would be utterly busted in any other deck but belongs to a garbage archetype (like Telefon, non-OPT reborn is insane but it's a Morphtronic)

Yea, Herald of Orange Light looks like such a bad card. Like, imagine if a Magic card said something like "You may exile a blue card from your hand rather than pay this spell's mana cost. Counter target spell." I'm totally with you Beezy, that card would definitely be unplayable garbage

i think that the funniest thing about orange light is that its most powerful use was being used to pitch ishizu fairies during the opponents turn

Inspector boarder is super confusing even for seasoned yugioh players.

Synchro is not Music. It is Science. Synchronize was taught in Physic Science, synchronizing from adding electrons more or less to change the Element type (the Periodic Table of Elements).

Tbh Inspector Boarder should just be interpreted. The guessing is about how good the cards are, not how fucked up the text is lol

Herald of orange light is much closer to the blue magic spell, that costs 5 mana and can also be played by discarding a blue card and taking one damage.

Okay, I genuinely liked this one! They analyzed extra deck monsters as a duo, and even learned extra deck mechanics together

Beezy's final analysis of inspector boarder was almost spot on imo, except it's not banned, only limited in master duel

Mist Wurm also found very limited use in some older Speedroid builds because it is a non-destruction removal option working under the WIND monster restriction.

One category of cards you should try to include are ones with similar effects to real Magic cards but, because of the differences in game mechanics, have considerably different power levels between the two games. Stuff like Book of Moon, Change of Heart, or Mass Driver.

I am pretty sure Mist Wurm sees a lot of play in Edison Format. It might be the only synchro 9 in the format, if I remember correctly.

Little nitpick about this series, non-staples should probably be picked less often. ABC Buster Dragon, Inspector and the Speedroid are arguably decent to important cards in their own decks, but their decks are bad to mid. It makes it confusing for the contestant to interpret and for you to explain, as calling them aither bad or good isn't entirely correct (though it's fair game if the chosen card is bad even in its own archetype, or the whole archetype is garbage).

I don't understand how any MTG player can look at a Force of Will type effect and say "bad"
