I got 32, so I'm a Valiant Quizling. I aced the starting question and the first and third categories, but I only got half of categories 2 and 4 and missed the art question. As an enfranchised player for only 2-3 years at this point, I'm pretty proud of that result.

Of all the gaming communities I've been a part of, Magic's is one of the most intertwined with the creators of the game in my experience. When you think about it, it's mad that we can just shoot questions off to the head designer and he'll answer them directly. Or that he has a podcast about game design. Or that other staff run youtube channels showing us how the sausage is made. I think it's great, and I love how much of a part of magic they are if you choose to look (which admittedly isn't for everyone, and that's okay too). 35 is a VERY impressive score though, well played!

@@teradul2480 I suppose I'd agree. I suspect there are people out there that are involved in the community but aren't massively into the hobby. There's a lot of casual players, and (once upon a time at least) the lore was interesting enough even if you didn't play. Not to mention all the cosplayers and the like. I don't mind the category being there, there will be some people that would have got a kick out of it but been unable to answer rules questions. You know?

You're the first person I've seen to write out the comment this way. I love it! Thank you! And don't worry, it's designed to ramp in difficulty hard to try and cater to all. 7 is a really good score! Especially as the rounds are a bit "Who Wants to be a Millionairre", you either know them or you don't style. I'm planning to mix the categories up each upload though. I'll try to remember to add a round in exclusively about rules interactions!

70 points. But, technically 76, because for the vaultborn question I thought: what is going against the lore? I only know the vaultborn tyrant. So if you count that as being correct, I got 76. The questions I didn't get were: The name of previous ceo. The vampire companion. And technically the vaultborn, depending on how you count.

That's Flameblade Angel. It's one of 4 cards that feature the angel Isobel, who's not named on any of them. And they tell a pretty tragic story when combined. But I love them because they show how magic's able to tell these little background tales that you may not even realise you're being told unless you really look. Also, 15's a good score! Well done!

minor salty nitpicks ahead: Kenrith, The Returned King's question should really mention that there isn't only one creature type, the way it was written made me pick 'human' rather than 'human noble' because those are two distinct creature types and I assumed I misremembered the 'noble' part. Mark Rosewater's tumblr blog is technically just called 'markrosewater' as seen on reblogs and on the 'follow' button in the video, blogatog is the title. (not counting those two) i got 5 points, 4 from the thumbnail I keep calling lightning bolt thunderbolt on accident so I squandered that, got the power 9 and that's about it. focusing on lore and wotc stuff really did not give me a chance though

I had a discussion about whether it should be "type" or "types" with some play testers. Eventually I settled on just "type" but even now I couldn't tell you exactly why or that I'm right about it. Just gut feeling I guess. Still though, sounds like you did quite well considering, so well played! Next time I'm going to mix the categories up. I'm going to try to remember to add one about rules interactions as I think that'll be more in most players wheelhouses

I only remembered two Kaldheim realms, but that was enough lol. I remembered Littjara because I found the shapeshifters to be really cool and Starnheim because I found the valkyrie angels to be awesome.
