As a nurse who has used steri-strips a lot we use benzoin on the skin first to make to strips stay on skin. Looks like betadine, brown liquid. Steri-strips probably won’t stick to dirty or sweaty skin

Superglue is the answer. I'm Rural Medicine. I use Dermabond to glue steri-strips down all the time. Normal superglue works a treat too. Honestly, duct tape or leccy tape makes awesome first aid tape. You don't faff around with steri-stripes on the trail.

@@thedamntrain5481 it's a bit steep, but having owned the previous F15 version for several years I attest to the quality of their products. Sure you can get the same tools separately for cheaper, but it's unlikely you'll find similar quality ones for much less price as a set. The added premium comes from the form factor-- you simply can't find those specialized tools (bike specific allen and torx bits, chain tool, spoke wrenches, etc.) in a tool that size, with that level of build quality. A Leatherman might get you most of the way there, but it will weigh more, take up more space, lack some features, and still cost roughly the same. It's not meant for everyone, but it solves enough problems for the people it is meant for, that they don't mind paying a little extra.

It's because production costs are quite high since the products are sold to a fairly niche industry. When products are sold to larger industries than the prices would be much less because high volume production brings manufacturing costs down.

Hey Seth! First of all, as long-time viewers of your channel(s) it was really amazing to see you reviewing our product, so thank you. We pronounce Scuvvers like lovers, but we're Australian so the English language is more a guideline for how we speak. Scuvvers will retail for USD $66 but our online store opens tomorrow for pre-orders and we have discounts of up to 30% for bundles. We're really glad that you noticed the quality because that was a high priority for us, as was sustainability - Scuvvers are made from 100% post-consumer recycled textile. They might look a little over-designed but we built in a lot of adjustment for headrests and seats of different sizes and shapes (except for cars that have one-piece seats like the Jeep you started with...). Although we designed them to stow on the back of your headrest so they're always there when you need them, the little slide connector lets you detach the pouch and stow it in your door pocket, glove compartment or under the seat. And when you get them filthy you can throw them in the washing machine if you like, but we usually just detach the covers and hose them down with our bikes. We noticed your wife's car has a cream interior, so we'll send over a cream one!

4:18 When designing a thing for 3d printing, you should take the fact that the part is weaker along the layers into consideration. While designing this driver, you made a small mistake, leaving the hex thing in the middle not connected to the outside. What you want is the most surface area between the hex driver mount and the layer which it sits on, so you should ideally add some "spokes" (4 would be enough) , or you could leave the whole thing filled in (which is propably not optimal since with smaller infill percentages it will still have a small surface area). This makes it so that you can't overtorque your driver as easily since you can't twist off the part holding the bit in.

MTB first -aid kits should have a snake bite bandage. Dunno about the USA, but snakes on the trail are commonplace here in Oz....they love the sunny breaks that paths make in the forest. Snake bite bandages make awesome general bandages too. I also carry an Israeli vacuum sealed dressing/bandage for staking injuries.

I purchased the Scuvvers on the back of this review. As both a mountain biker and a sailor, they are the solution to a problem that I have had for a while as I was having to wash my light grey coloured fabric car seats once a year as they got grimy or wet. I am pleased to report that the Scuvvers work very well and are not as tricky to fold back into their pouch as I thought they would be. Not the cheapest, but they are well made and were money well spent. As a safety professional, another thing I like about them is that in the event of a vehicle accident, their design looks like it would not prevent the deployment of a vehicles seat bolster mounted airbags, which some other designs of seat cover would compromise.

As a tech, you do encounter vehicles (I’m looking at you Germans) where getting a hex-socket or hex-key is impossible to use on a hex bolt without some insane procedure! For example, the passenger side Value Cover on an Audi S4 with the V8 engine, the left bottom hex bolt, has about 4-5mm of room to remove it!

Here is my MTB first aide kit: ACE bandage!!! You take a spill and take a good hit with your leg or arm, it's going to swell up. Broken bone, you can use sticks and fasten them up with the bandage. 2 non-stick gauze pads (can be held in place with ace bandage). A few regular band-aids. Ketchup packet type ointment. Two pack of Advil too control swelling from a big hit (they can be found at just about every gas station). If you where to pick only one item to take, it would totally be the ace bandage and you can roll it around an ointment packet so, it you get a bad cut, you can smother it in ointment and just wrap it with the ace bandage to hold you over.

Seth: 40$ water bottle, worth it! Also Seth : 60$ for my favorite repair kit, pricey.

These are some cool products now if only I had ac cool MTB to warrant getting them lol. However I think the little tiny hex drive could come in handy around the house so I might have to pick one of those up.

I think you should check out the Bahco Ratchet Socket Bit Set 2058/S26. It's like this super mini ratchet that takes regular bits, and since it's so low profile it's reall great to get to screws in tight spots. I know it's situational, but when you do need it, it's a god-send!

On the second review in the background, there is a raw silver hardtail with marzoki forks. Can’t wait until the video about that one comes out!
