Thanks for the Video - Taking apart unfamiliar laptops can always feel like "the case will break (or worse) any second"... though I do have to agree with others that any time you see thermal compound in places other than the 2 spots it was readded you should replace that as well to avoid heat issues - and this sysem has a LOT of it. More than any other laptop I have ever seen... It seems unlikely that the goo-iness of the compound in those other locations will make for an even coat is just wishful thinking and is not worth the risk.

May I know what temps you were seeing before and after the thermal paste upgrade on the CPU and the GPU? I see it's a 9th gen Core i7 so it's probably i7-9750H? And the GPU according to MSI must be RTX 2060 with 6GB GDDR6. Any chance you were able to upgrade the RAM to something running at 3200 MHz? I was able to use the unlock code at the BIOS (RShift+RCtrl+LAlt+F2) to get to the overclocking menu and was able to get XMP working but it wasn't stable at 3200 MHz for me and Windows would randomly get stuck and I'd need to do a hard reset. Did you do this and was it stable for you?

  • @AgashTV

No you have to remove the past one, or you'll get too much thermal pads and the link between both would not work, you have to remove then put a little bit of thermal pad and you should not let the thermal path drop on the sides of the PCU as we've seen in the video it can be problematic for the PCU, remove everything then put a little dot in the middle and close it, the warm will make it go everywhere itself
