Yup they are smart indeed, and Sanna Marin's popularity in Finland is very, very low. Finnish people know how to distinguish who's a true leader from those who are just populists.

Her level of learnedship, charisma, beauty, and compassion is strangely and unfortunately unmatched in this world of cheering on autocrats, distrust in science, and not doing enough to promote women to roles of power! ...even WOMEN not promoting other women in this generation of selfish minds and religious rhetoric that feels militarized, like in the U.S.. Her adoration for science and patriotism is admirable, but a soul like hers needs to be popularized and protected at all costs to make sure this world doesn't fold on itself and the future generation has a name like hers to chant and support w/o the guise that celebrities and old politicians pervert selfish means through antiquated tongues and profit from the chaos they create! ...gosh, she's stunning. : )

Is just so sad to see such bs being fed to people so much, and many actually believe is done only by us humans, as stupid as it is... Is just another excuse to empty our pockets, how exactly giving money as taxes, is going to affect that? Answer is: it won't. Just look at history a bit, only a few times ever, there have even been ice caps on poles, also a few times this planet has been one big snowball... Our total CO2 emissions are like 5-10% compared to the amount that is vaporized from oceans alone, not to mention the whole nature... we are not the cause of global warming, only a tiny part of it. The recent ice age started suddenly, most likely from a big meteor strike, and is not yet fully over.., is why we see temperatures still rising. Most of times, global temperatures have been 5-10 degrees warmer than now, and we are again going towards that normal. People have no way stopping this, is far beyond our capabilities. Look up in the sky, notice something bright and warming there? Is called "the sun", is what decides the temperatures here, and it's radiation far from stable. There are 3 cycles that make at times this place warmer, at times colder, and if them all 3 cycles hit cold times at same time, this has each and every time caused an ice age... as have big volcanic eruptions, and meteor strikes. Global temperatures WILL change, no matter what we do, propably not even smart to touch that phenomenom, is no knowing what long-term effects that might have far in the future. People do need to adjust on that, this is obvious, because it will change a lot... but we cannot stop it from happening. The one and only major problem the whole mankind should focus on, is how to protect this planet from next major meteor strike... is something that will change absolutely everything BIG time, in matter of days... and is guaranteed to happen sometime in the future. Currently we would not be able to detect one approaching unless insanely lucky, but even then we have absolutely nothing to stop it. Volcanic activity we also cannot affect on, and this we also should not even try, for same reason - results can be very unpredictable if we touch the insides of this planet.

@V M Prime minister of Finland is never directly elected by the people. Instead the prime minister is elected by the parliament. This is the same in many parliamentary systems. It has nothing to do with communism (which as defined by Marx is a stateless, classless and moneyless society), but rather than in many parliamentary systems the executive government (including the prime minister) receives mandate from the parliament, which has democratic mandate to elect the executive government, including the prime minister.

Our government had a lot of time to prepare and make notes from China. We could have closed our border early on and prohibited anyone returning from their holidays from epidemic areas. Our infections were spread by people like these. One of them was a heart surgeon from HUS(The hospital district of Helsinki and Uusimaa) who came from Austria with a corona infection and went to work normally. He infected 38 people.

Yes, Finland government, THL and HUS really made a dramatic mistakes. All the data was available from january, but these girls were just focusing to climate change in a country of 5 million people. But I don't blame this girls, even they blindly trusted the health professionals. But the healt professionals in Finland made the mistakes, mainly in THL and HUS. They said 1.3.2020 that if you have had over 15min close contact to a person which is infected, you have to be tested. If it is less than 15min, then you do not have risk. Also dozens of comments which do not have any sense, if you look at the China on Italy situation. I think there might be involved a foreign contry disinformation campaign to contries health professionals, why would they otherwise have so much misinformation?

Is it possible every where all around the globe keeping in mind religious values, economic priorities, kids along with mother's physical, mental and socio-emotional health. How is highly respected ( from the depths of my heart) Madam Sanna Marin's marital life experience as a working lady. The current government is the most popular government we've had in Finland for decades, according to polls (even the ones made by the right wing media [the media is owned by the rich, of course, and even the public media is going increasingly towards the right [Kokoomus -party, according to studies]: the Finnish right wing is on the spectrum between Clinton and Trump, and they tend to give more hard time to the moderate left than the right wing parties ). The Finnish politics has become very polarized - on the other side there are the moderates, more humanistic parties (politically most of these are on the spectrum between Warren and Sanders or a bit left from Sanders, so very moderate, not that left wing), and on the other side the extreme right wing parties: these rather antihumanist parties and their supporters are increasingly immersed in fake news, quite alike Breitbart, Prison Planet and their ilk, and it shows in reactions like the ludicrous statements made here about the government not being popular. (Am very much left from the government, so am not that pleased with it, but to say that it is not popular is simply untrue.)

Marin is a bit too polite here... Eventhough the more extreme right wing parties dont openly talk against the welfare state, the fascistoid Perussuomalaiset ("The True Finns"; their leader is a guy who is like Stephen Miller, but less charisma and looks) has hinted strong antagonism towards the model (and acted against it continuously on state and local level), and Kokoomus (i guess they translate it "Coalition party, or National coaliton?"; think of a mixture of Pelosis and McConnells, with some even more right wing in the mix...), and now also the small Christian Democrats (the likes of Pat Robertson and such inhabit this party) have continuosly tried to erode the welfare state model, Kokoomus from the very beginning.

All life is carbon based anyway, so the word decarbonization is an oxymoron. Also the burning or oxidation of methane in those gas cars produces water vapor and carbon dioxide so you can kiss goodbye to your "decarbonisation", Sanna Marin. Finland is not a paradise - Finns hate to hear any critisism about their goverment ( especially from non-finns ). lived in tampere under her rule - would feel that there in NO MULTICULTURAL policy in place - there is no real protection for migrants and migrant workers. Very little support for multiculturalism. Didnt know about Marin until she became PM of Finland - i do not hate her but i think - she can do more . I think she is heading in right direction . The enviromental talks are great but - previous goverment solds mining rights in lapland to large corporations - and nothing was done to reverse this . In the region of the Capital - UUSIMA / NYLAND - there has been little done to prevent migrant workers from being bullied, underpaid, abused etc . Health care is not optimal and the health care public system is declining each year. Public schools are in further decline . Again - only 2 public basic school teach in english - the capital region has over 25percent foreigners . ( this was also noted by the city of helsinki - havent made any funding thou ...) Non-finns are not represented in any way in goverment, police, firefighters ... In the health care sector up to 30 percent are foreigners . It is merely impossible to get the health care treatment done soon enough or right for you in the public sector - if it isnt life treathening illness.

Meaning that if there are foreign people working in Finland, it will become more multicultural, you can't force it. There are foreigners in our government, i believe i have seen foreigners as police too and i know foreign firefighters. Issue in those fields is that you have to know finnish language and you have to know it well, otherwise you are not capable of doing your job. I wonder how it is impossible, in my 40 years of life i have had 0 issues with our healthcare system. I mean this time the government coalition took longer than ever to be formed, and there's these absolutely crazy "ideology " parties in (the left and greens) with just 11% and 8% election results in the last elections, while two conservative parties scoring 17,5% and 17,0% were left out along with Christian Democrats. The other parties in the government are the just narrowly election winning Social Democrats with 17,7% , Swedish Peoples' party with 4,9% and the quite conservative Centre (rural peoples') party with 13,8% which shouldn't even be in this leftist government and is doing compromises practically every day, destroying its voter base. In Finnish politics, about half of the parliament are left outside the government. Supporters of those parties always complain "this government is a joke, a disaster". That happens with _every_Finnish_government_. And in a multi party system the governent is made out of parties that can agree on a similar programm not of the largest parties. And currently the opposition parties are right wing parties, so of course right wing parties don't mix with the current government. And of course opposition party supporters consider government parties "crazy ideology parties". Crazy ideologies like mitigating catastrophic climate change. And it's no point comparing the points of individual parties. In a parliamentary multi party system, the government is a coalition of parties, and together the parties that make up the Finnish government have majority support of Finns. Even according to the most recent polls.
