Ms Grimshaw - Founding Gang Member With NO Respect

Ойындар

Ms Grimshaw or Susan Grimshaw of red dead redemption 2 is considered the fourth founding (or 3rd) of the Notorious Dutch Van Der Linde Gang. A love interest that never goes further sadly in terms of importance to the gang or game's story.

@@fantasy_4772the story has a couple spots left open ended for a rat other than Micah. Abigail has motive, and conveniently is the one who caps Milton. Trelawney comes and goes, he also has a family that can be used against him. We have no idea how truthful Milton was about when Micah started ratting, or how little Molly gave him. Pearson also has a wife.

I felt really bad for Ms grimshaw because she probably had a genuine love for Dutch like molly when she was younger. But over time she saw that Dutch only liked a woman for her appearance&it turned her into the camp general basically.

The fact Dutch cared more about 3 ruthless criminals more than people who have been with him for over 15 years is just sad I wish we had a scene where after seeing Grimshaw gunned down Bill and Javier question their loyalty and Just decide to leave Dutch and Micah like if in the distance you can hear them ask "why are we after them? Grimshaw has a soft spot in my heart. Her behaviour with the other women in the camp could be due to her position. If the gang was an established household with an estate she'd be the housekeeper in charge of everyone, basically the head of housekeeping, which was a high ranked position in victorian times. Mostly older women who were well adjusted and knowledgeable of the inner workings of a household (or in this case, the gang's camp and the gang itself) held this position. There are many cases where the head housekeeper was often remembered as a grim authority figure and abuse was not rare, physical and verbal if the maids below the housekeeper didn't do their chores right. You can pretty much see a similar scene in the party at the majors house when the servant you follow to the office scolds a maid for standing in the main hallway where she could be seen by the guests. Grimshaw seems exactly like that. She does not take any disrespect and maybe even harbors bitterness due to her broken relationship with Dutch. Her killing off Molly in her delusional stage was the only thing she saw right: A woman beneath her acted up and threatened the gang, so she disposed of her. Mary-Beth sat around reading... so she went off on her. Grimshaw expects the gang to know their chores and place and them stepping out of line is not taken in a good way. Her death hit hard for me because she was basically running the place. Dutchs role as a leader got smaller and smaller the more delusional he got with his anxiety and paranoia of being betrayed. She was the one alongside Pearson to keep the gang's camp afloat - people seem to downplay the importance of a functioning camp, but in reality it is hugely important. Grimshaw dying as just another nail in the closing coffin for the integrity of the gang and symbolic for how everything is falling apart bit by bit.

I agree they dropped the ball on that one .. . . $5000.00 in 1899 would be $189,198.19 by to days standards . . . An enormous amount of money. They definitely could have done a much better job of telling just how much money Dutch want to bail with, they didn't even clarify how much Dutch had stashed in cave; which looked like a tone, add on the money from the army train Heist.

Considering she's one of the first members of the gang, I see her and Hosea as Dutch's sort of surrogate parents with Arthur of course becoming his son. This could really reinforce Dutch's idea of the gang being a "family." I think all they would really need to drive this home would be to have a camp interaction between Hosea and Grimshaw where they more or less discuss their disappointment in Dutch and his dissent. I totally agree they should (and could) have done more with her!

I want to know more about her dead husband. Who was he? Was it before or after she joined the gang? Theres an interaction between hervand mary beth. Marybeth talks about love and heaven and asks if grimshaw believes in heaven. Grimshaw then says that "he was the best man she ever knew" and that she believes that "if there is a heaven, hes up there". That camp interaction happened for me in late chapter2/ early chapter 3. I was hoping to get some more insight later but it never happened.
