Abdussamed KAYA 47 no, it doesn’t really work. ‘By now’ is the kind of phrase used to imply impatience, “I would have expected him to be here by now”, whereas ‘yet’ is more closely related to “so far”, there could be a better host later, but James McAvoy is better than anyone that came before him.

It has a different meaning from yet, which is harder to define in general but in the thread makers sentence means "up to now" or "until now". It may be worth your while to look up the meanings of "yet" online.

This almost turned into a Wattpad fanfiction story. 😂

I was only 5 when the Narnia movie came out and honestly I loved Tumnus because I thought he was so sweet and pure and also I've been obsessed with Greek mythology forever so the fact that he's a fawn (actually a satyr but whatever) was so cool to me Also I've always liked animals better than humans anyway 😂

And this is officially a pattern for me. It's a strange moment when you have that sorta clarity.

Cecily Strong's run-on admission @2:49 was a brilliant high wire act in comic fluidity -- she channels Phil Hartman at times as SNL's revolving "character actor"; whereas Kate's strengths shine in the signature, more fleshed-out characters.

Classic SNL sketch. Great set up. Brilliant one liners. No idea how to end it.

"Lazy Hermione" is pretty damn accurate for that type.
