Hi Gary just watched this video I own a Rex Envoy and I absolutely love it. I have always thought of it as a mild razor and my favourite blade in it would be Silver Blue plus Nacet and Platinum light blue pack and With a good quality tallow soap soap I get the most amazingly close and comfortable shave. If I am going out and my shave matters this is my go to razor. Keep well and keep safe.

The Rex Envoy is a fantastic razor👍 I must admit, I don't find it mild. I would place it alongside the 3one6 or the GC.84. I guess it is a case of YMMV🙂 Have a great week brother😎

I have both the Rex Envoy and the 3ONE6. The Envoy does now come in a long handle variety. The Rex wins it for me over the 3ONE6, BUT it is much fussier on technique and blade choice. If you haven’t tried the Rex with a Polsilver Super Iridium do so - it makes it a buttery smooth dream to use. The 3ONE6 is much more forgiving. The Master Soap Creation is lovely. I got the opportunity to try it on the UKWSS pass around last year.

I will give the Polsilver a go next time I use the Envoy. For me it was a really close call. Both razors are excellent but in the end, the only reason I chose the 3one6 over the Envoy was price🙂

Good looking shave, and as I've said before, that 3one6 is gorgeous.

Hello Gary nice comparison from two beautiful safety razor. But for me it's the Edwin Jagger the Winner. Because he is very cheaper than the Rex. Have a nice weekend.

Nice one Gary. I haven't tried either of those razors but I'm inclined to believe that I might prefer the EJ. I hesitated to get one because I have a Muhle Rocca and haven't had a particularly good shave with it yet. They are probably different enough that it's worth trying the EJ to see. It goes into the "someday" category for now. Thanks for the video. Have a wonderful day!

Thanks for doing that ,very enjoyable to see those two going up against each other ...Love the looks of the Rex but would not like the possible burn . I think the 3one6 would be overall better for me . Cheers ...

As long as the blades are the same and have the same number of uses, comparisons are fine.

Nice comparison, I’ve never tried the Rex, but I enjoy my 3one6 - it’s an excellent razor. I’ve read on different sites, that the Rex can be a bit too aggressive, but like you said, it could be inexperience, blade choice a number of variables. Enjoy the Balti, you could slip a serving bowl into a bag and use it as a lathering bowl on a future shave….. 😂😂😂👍🏻
