Mr. And Mrs. North (TV-1952) SILENT BUTLER
Фильм және анимация
Sophisticated witty series starring Richard Denning and Barbara Britton as a married couple living in NYC who investigate various crimes and invariably solve them before the police do!
THE SILENT BUTLER: The Norths' new butler, Oliver, doesn't just carry luggage,he comes with a plenty of his own. He's carrying on an affair with the married maid who works next door, and his ex-flame refuses to accept that they're over. The maid's husband, also a butler, is found dead in the building's basement and Oliver is the obvious suspect.

Mrs. North. She solves everything 👏👏👏
I really enjoyed Mr and Mrs North
I love that Pam is so smart like Columbo. This is such a great guilty pleasure. Thank you.

She's got that annoying thing and that nosy thing going on like Columbo, too. LOL.
@20:04~ Isn't it funny how whenever an actor/actress "raids" a fridge for a midnite snac, they always seem to pluck out a chicken leg to gnaw on? Wish I kept 'em on hand 24/7...
Love it!! I watch again and still enjoy it!!
Week after week, it takes the church bells to tell Jerry that it's Sunday! All part of the charm of this old series. Hubby and I are enjoying it. Our second time around. Third time if you count when we were kids and watched this. Thanks so much for posting it, PF.
I swear, when he said "I'd rather be dead", I said "Well that could be arranged", about a split second before she said "Maybe that could be arranged". I keep telling my husband I can't believe how often I can guess the next line.

Many of us did also, Carole...
I use to watch this show back in the 1950's when it was first on....And I'm still watching it....
What a tense episode, with affairs, a bloody murder, and one very insane killer.
I really enjoyed these shows ! 🤗👏🏾🙋🏽
“If I was mrs wentworths husband I’d die too” lol
I enjoyed the episode but why couldn't they have kept Oliver?
If the cop and her husband had not come in at the last moment, Mrs. Bentley would have finished Pam off and easily at that!

I Really Enjoyed This Episode. Thank You PizzaFlix For Sharing 😄
May the healing of God touch your body and restore you 🍿thank you for the movie 🎥
Loved this one! I'm terribly, terribly fond of butlers, don't you know? I am getting a wee bit tired of seeing poor dear Pam fighting in every episode though. LOL I'm sure it's just a weird coincidence, but the last four episodes I've seen had Pam in a struggle. it's time for the dudes to fight. LOL

Especially since Pam is such a well-intended but weak scrapper. Virtually ANYONE can whup her hiney in with one hand tied behind their back. It seems the creator of these two characters feels that being strong or cunning in a fight is low-rent, the very last thing Mr. and Mrs. North are intended to be.
We had a Teacher named Mrs Bentley in Junior school (1948 to 1952. ) we called her ' Bentlegs ' .
Originally telecast on December 26, 1952.
Imagine having a wife who looks like that and sleeping in separate beds.

Yep. You're right ... On the other hand: SHOW ME A "DROP-DEAD-GORGEOUS/SEXY" WOMAN, and I'll show you a man that's tired of _______ her!!! AND, you are still right ... Think about it.

1950s...they weren't allowed to show couples sleeping in the same bed on TV shows.

fun to watch
When Pam was "locked" in the basement, why didn't she just go up the stairs?
The maid reminds me of the “where’s the beef” lady

I remember her from "I Love Lucy". She sold her dress shop to Lucy.
Was there no Saturday I the olden days? 😉
The ending is really dumb. Why would she let the old woman murder her like a frightened child without even trying to fight her?

I think the point is that she was supposed to scream when the older woman confessed and the cop and husband, waiting outside, would rush in, but she lost her voice. At that point you would expect the young healthy woman to knock the crap out of the older woman.

It could have been a good fight. I wonder why there was a premise that Pam would be easy for the old lady to kill with her bare hands. My theory is that this was part of the '50s-TV idea that people just keep getting stronger with age (up to a point). So in another episode an out-of-shape middle-age crook beats up a young marine sergeant with no difficulty, and publisher Gerry has to rescue the marine.
this could be better its to campy all ways ms. north does snoopen she should be on her own show. an him as well to much husband follwing each other.. but its just this type of campy stuff. it comes ckose...

This is an era you're not that familiar with. Early years of TV shows, they were slapped together cheaply and dialogue was campy. You had to go to the movies to get good writing and production, we understood that. Still, Barbara Briton has a charm and pretty much carries the show Hubby shows up, like the US calvary, just in time to save her.. It's simple fun.
