Pavarotti could have sung a duet with a motorbike and it would still have sounded sublime.
Can we just talk about how respectful of a duet partner Pavarotti is being? He's making sure the balance is right in the ensemble spots and matching her vibrato perfectly.
But she is singing off key
I give Sheryl alot of credit for venturing out of her comfort zone - it may be aesthetically weak but you can see she's genuinely invested in it
Poor Mozart🥲
Bags of kudos to Sheryl Crow for doing this. People don't realize the breathing control and vocal cord power of an opera soprano. Though she might not have the power and control of, say, Cecilia Bartoli (also here on KZread), she has a beautifully sweet voice and a lovely and delicate appearance that is perfect for pretty young Zerlina. I really enjoyed it, and I suspect Luciano did too (the naughty boy!).
Aria da baritono... ma ok anche Pavarotti
The US accent is a bit heavy.
I sang this duet 35 yrs ago and received a "Command Performance " rating. It is NOT easy!
Luciano here is like 900HP V10 F1 Ferrari engine running at iddle speed. True gentleman❤
Did everyone manage to forget that Sheryl Crow is a classically trained musician? 😊
Being in the theatre in Verona expecting a night of Turandot, once in a while, people in the audiance stood up and startet singing arias ... Getting rounds of applause. Opera is their! music, it is in the heart of the italian people ..
What a gentleman!
Mozart is genius..
That was great job by both Pavarotti and Crow. But I want to give props to Freddie Mercury who commenced this fusion of pop and classical singers performing together.
OMG this is something I never thought I would see a country singer do opera ! breathtakingly brilliant. Incredible
This is very touching, and even beautiful in its own right.
Im humbled by Sheryl Crow singing opera!
So much personality and spirit. Loved it.
Great job, Cheryl and Luciano!
