Mostafa 'Moz' Azimitabar is a Kurdish-Iranian refugee who, after fleeing his homeland in search of a better life in Australia, was detained for eight years by the Australian government.
At first he was kept offshore, in one of Australia's now notorious detention camps before being moved to makeshift detention centres in Melbourne.
Now a free man, Moz has decided to take on the Australian government in federal court to defend his human rights. He believes the way he was treated in detention was illegal.
