I never saw Chris do this, but the Merrow Commerce is technically a merfolk and can be tapped using Kumena's ability. (It also gets the +1/+1 counters, not that it matters much for an enchantment I suppose.) I don't think it was particularly relevant this game, but just a fun fact for potential future use.

Seeing the goodest of bois in a commander game always puts a smile on my face

Because the Kentaro decklist isn't there yet, I just did some research on combo decks involving Kentaro, and this is what I got: Any samurai + Oathkeeper + Puresteel Paladin (w/ metalcraft active) + Blasting Station/Altar of Dementia: equip Oathkeeper on the samurai for free, sac it, bring it back, equip Oathkeeper for free again, sac. Repeat for infinite damage/mill; Puresteel Paladin + Oathkeeper + Ashes of the Fallen + Blasting Station/Altar of Dementia: same as above These are some of the combos. It's very similar to my Saffi Eriksdotter deck, so I already like it. :D

That mowu deck worked way better than I expected! A few fun interactions there

Sylvan Library (even with oracle text) actually reads draw 3 cards, then put it back ... So with Mind's Eye you can actually pay 3 and draw 3 regardless how many they keep.

I have a mono white lin sivvi deck. There are loads of infinite life combos. Infinite reanimation with lark+ karmic guide. Suntitan + some white enchantments that reanimate. So you have infinite sac. Outlet triggers from altars for infinite mana or infinite mill or whatever

That Krosan Grip was really REALLY sad. I wish we could get a decklist from Mart. I'm really interested.

Yeah he didn’t do anything all game, absolutely no pressure was put on him at all, then mowu swings his way and I was waiting for some splashy answer... he’d drawn a ton of cards, he has to be ready to make some waves! Destroys an equipment. Still dies. Hm.

Nick would had won if he had the umezawa jitte equipped the turn he casted it. It is a very powerful equipment, unless you don't charge it.

Nick shouldn't have left Chris for last. Sure, the other two might have had removal or combos, but you have to deal with the potentially lethal board first.

Just another friendly reminder to tell Martin that there's more room on his playmat than just the top right corner.

@@MTGMuddstah Understandable, but still a bit of a poor placement since the "last played" card image is put right in that place in editing. Not seeing it due to glare or an overhead image blocking the way...same thing in the end.

Sylvan Library draws 3 cards so you can pay 3 for mind’s eye to draw 3 if you want

The way he can NOT pay any mana for samurais it's actually a pretty cool advantage (with discounts and colorless mana rocks). You can use all that extra mana to draw cards or play defensive spells.

That's incorrect. Please refer to this line on the Gatherer rulings: *10/17/2013 The “number of times it’s been cast from the command zone” includes the most recent time. For example, the first time you cast your commander from the command zone in a game, if you spent mana from Opal Palace’s last ability to do so, it will enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter.*

Everytime he says the goodest boi's name it comes out as MOE, which was distracting. I'm picky so don't mind me, Best formatting of edh games I've ever seen. Keep up the amazing work been watching since video 4!

I really don't understand the point of Kentaro as a commander, except for flavor. As a commander, it's second ability does literally nothing in EDH because of color identity rules. My only guess is that it's to throw people off and not assess him as a threat until he can combo off. However, as a rule of thumb, I would say if you can't tell when a deck is doing, just assume it's a combo deck and kill them when you have the chance.

Why didn't the Mowu player immediately Krosan Grip that Endless Horizons? You would have almost certainly knocked him out of the game by eliminating most or all of his basic plains and a dual land. I saw that in the opening hands, can't imagine not using it.

players who tap there cards only Half way .....or players who arrange there cards really strange (lands above creatures) need to explain me whhyyy they do that. it serves no purpose other than confusing everyone

What is the point of playing Kentaro as commander? There's.. literally nothing that it does in mono white and samurai are all terrible anyway.
