Here in Sweden we always have an inspection before we move out to see if we cleaned good and that everything is out of the apartment/house, this is the same whether we are renting or buying. If they don’t approve of our cleaning ( they are EXTREMELY picky, I had to show them with a flashlight if it was dust on top of my wardrobe), then we have to pay ourselves for professionals to come clean instead and then we will have another inspection and see if the approve of their cleaning 😮😊

Beautiful apartment

Here in America landlords dont clean when you move out either. If you leave a mess for them to clean or hire someone to clean it they get to keep your deposit thats what the security deposit is for. Sadly alot of people still dont clean and leave their old place a mess with their belongings they no longer want. As if somone else isnt planning on moving in afterwards.

Yea but the new tenants don’t have to clean it. (Unless they want to) but even then the landlord will make sure it’s up basic cleaning expectations.
