the generator is an engine, & gas tank. But it is not usable for a car, that car did not move at all. There was no drivetrain, & the engine or “generator, does not have a driveshaft link, or even anything exposed at all, it is pretty much incased & there is no drive shaft link. He is another clown, this is the kind of engineers we are getting flood out country in America. it is like a 3rd world country now

These vehicles may not be the fastest, the safest, nor the most efficient to of been built. But they are imaginative and functional pieces of machinery, created by brilliant rural Africans who dreamed of having a car on the tightest of budgets and only whatever they can find in scrapyards. Getting worn out and scrapped engines to function again with little to no money is a feat on it's own, but making fully functional steering racks and sealed amphibious bodies with just old and worn metal bits is something of a whole new level.

I admire individuals who are passionate about innovation and creation. They possess a unique drive to make things to the best of their ability, and it's their inventor-maker spirit that truly counts. With a solid grasp of mechanical and electrical principles, they have the potential to reach great heights. However, the main obstacle they face is a lack of proper education, which is a solvable problem. Thanks for these videos, I'm always interested in what's going on down there.

these african car inventions are much more wholesome stories than those of the aircraft, not only considering most of the aircraft were just glorified cars. cars are such simple machines, all it took was the invention of the engine, technically horse carriages were already cars but instead of a steam or ignition engine it was driven by a horse. nonetheless being able to build such machines out of scrap is a feat, people from countries that aren't wealthy like ours know how to make do with what they have, they fix things and they get things to work in unexpected ways when most people in first world countries would give up and buy new parts.

I feel the problem with most of these designs is that they put to much "bling" on it, adding a lot of weight because of the materials used. They could easily make very functional designs, especially now electric componants are dirt cheap. Just as with the helicopter video i think they could achieve a lot of succes by looking at designs from the early years or cars instead of trying to mimic a modern car that is made from all kinds of lightweight and factory molded materials they don't have acces to!

I wonder what Afrika would be today if there hadn’t been any imperialism. At this point I blame most of Afrikas leaders though for letting their countries be exploited because they get rich while their people suffer. Nice to see some entrepreneurial spirit ❤

Can we as westerners PLEASE STOP rewarding absolute failure? Seriously, I see these comments and I feel like we are telling school children that they colored a picture perfectly when really the children got no work done on paper and instead were snapping and eating the crayons. You people with your white guilt are ruining western achievements by lowering your own standards only because other races have no standards nor do they want any standards.
