I’m hopefully going to be moving in the next few months to my first home, I’ve lived in apartments and currently live with my dad because the cost of rent around here is insane. I’m hoping to find a home before Christmas, and your move has inspired me so much to just go ahead and do it. I feel ridiculous that I’ve already started buying the little things that I’ll need, it’s starting to look like an overstock showroom in my dad’s front room. I even bought a new set of sleepwear for my first night at my new place, and I’ve packed them away so I won’t be tempted to wear them early. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!

I feel like ive followed you on such a journey from you moving to london in your first flat to now! Congratulations on moving in to your beautiful home! It's such an achievement (and a privilege, as you acknowledged) to be able to do at such a young age. 🏡🥰 And thank you for sharing the ups and downs of your journey. I wasn't very well when I moved in to my house last year, and for a long time after, so I didn't really get that excited buzz of the first few weeks. I found myself walking around this morning feeling extra grateful for my home and everything in it. It's not perfect, but it's mine. I'm even looking forward to rooting through some unopened boxes that have been in the garage for the last 16 months. Thank you for the perspective. :)

It took me a long time to get out of on own, because dealing with family illnesses, and such being the oldest I really had to step in and take care of things for years.
