You might want to rethink keeping that starter. Generally if your started grows mold you should throw it. Even if it only looks like mold is on top there is no way of telling how deep the spores have grown. Could be dangerous!

Yep! I was told if there's any mould growth, you should bin it. Even if you scrape the top, there's less than beneficial bacteria growing throughout and likely mould spores

The apple muffin recipe looks very yummy. BTW... To divide your muffin batter more easily and equally, an ice cream scoop is very handy! Regarding your question about footstool or coffee table. A footstool is more cozy and practical, you can add a wooden tray with handles (ottoman tray) on top of the footstool and use it as a coffee table surface when you're not using it to rest your feet. On top of it, there are some ottomans with storage inside (for throws and blankets).

I love to bake....since I was a little girl. My rule of thumb is to make the recipe as written, then the next time I can tweek it if I feel like it. I also freeze muffins all the time. Then I just thaw and pop in a low oven to warm up! Love seeing you so relaxed. 🧁🍪

Loving the vlogs!! Regarding the sofa bed, we were recommended not to get sofa bed as it would be not as comfy due to the metal underneath that over a while it’ll not feel as comfy! Especially if you have space for a good air mattress

Hi Emily. You’re house is amazing. I had a sofa bed from drs many years ago and only got rid of it last year. The sofa itself was a so comfy that we called it the sleepy sofa coz every time we sat on it we fell asleep, but the bed mattress was thin but people who slept on it said it was comfy. 😊 x

Hi Emily, sofa-beds are generally a little harder than "normal" sofas, honestly it's really up to your preference, my advise is to go to the shop and see/try the difference yourself, it really is such a personal decision 😊

Emily 😭 I was literally yelling at my screen when you were talking about removing the mould and keeping the started 😭 this is the exact way I got mould toxicity illness and after 7 years I am still dealing with the symptoms. PLEASE be careful with that and next time throw it out no matter what never gamble with mould. (Also if you start getting any unusual symptoms look up mould toxicity and see if they match)

I’ve had two sofa beds over the years. One was nice to sit on, the other was too hard, but neither was good for sleeping. I’ve found that a good air mattress is more comfortable.

I'd say don't buy a sofa you haven't personally sat on. Mine had great reviews online, it's fine but it's not really cosy. Also, if the sofa bed is less comfy, have a think about how often you'd use it. I moved from a tiny flat to a house and I was still in the "no space" mindset. I bought a sofa where the corner piece lifts for more storage and it's less comfy than the solid bit and I didn't really need it. Just some things I wish I'd thought about. :)

I think a pink sofa would look great in your kitchen snug to tie in with all your pink le creuset and pink jugs in your cabinet and use your existing sofa in the drawing room. Sofa beds are never that comfortable to either sit on or sleep on but the Yawn air beds are great. Congratulations on your new home, I’ve loved watching the whole journey from when you bought the house and appliances and now seeing them in your kitchen. You look so happy. I hope you have a wonderful life in your forever home. X

To avoid flat muffins you must not over mix the batter! Hand mix always using a folding method and just enough that the ingredients are combined most of the way. Overmixing will knock all the air out of the batter and create flat muffins

My snug is just off the kitchen like yours and we have two sofas - one is 3 person and one is 2 person - the tv is on the far wall with one sofa underneath and the other sofa against the opposite wall. This is a great solution when you wan to have lots of people over. We then have a glass coffee table in the middle and a lamp over the sofa on the wall opposite the TV.

Flat muffins. I can concur that the mixture only needs to be brought together with just enough folding, I would recommend doing this by hand, to make the ingredients wet. The mixture should look lumpy and under mixed. Yours still looked v yum. 😊

obviously I cant and wouldn't tell you what to do, that said I think Love seats are the most useless and uncomfortable things, I would suggest you get two chairs and two ottoman to go with them, you can match the same fabric if you choose or a complimenting one, good luck with your decision. I must say your kitchen is so beautiful even more so, that you have move things in there.
