I’m Colombian from my dad’s side and Puerto Rican from my mom. I decided to move to PR when I was like 17, 18 years old and lived there for a year. I was broke so I couldn’t try to much street food, but let me tell you, I tried the Chinese food and it was soooo freaking delicious and don’t get me started with the mofongo made at the Chinese restaurant….🤤🤤🤤

Estoy fuera de Puerto Rico hace dos años y medio y puedo decir que de las cosas que más extraño es la comida. No hay algo igual a nuestra comida. Es riquísima. Además, la calidad de nuestra gente es otra cosa. 🤤🤍

He's absolutely not wrong about the Chinese food in PR! I lived a block from a Chinese restaurant exactly like this one, but in Yauco. Everyday, I was smelling the delicious goodness of that restaurant! Yes, the portions were large and at a very reasonable price! Miss it so much! 🥡🥠🥟🍚

Homeboy is not wrong about the Chinese restaurant, the older the menu looks, including ancient pictures of the dishes on the menu; it's an indicative of being on the right spot for "Puerto Rico Chinese food". I'm not a big fan of the fusion style of pizzas, but I've had some very good seafood and meat lover style ones over the years. I'm glad you and the wife had an enjoyable time on the island, you're the type of tourist that is pleasant to have around.

As a Puertorican, The food usually means 'Go big or go home'. Mixing our favorite flavors together has always been something we love doing. Exaggerating is practically part of our culture. Thanks so much for showing people that Puerto Rico is much more that mofongo and lechón

There is just so much about Puerto Rico too love! From the beauty of the island, to the people to the food! OMG! The food! Yum!

This video brought tears to my eyes. I miss my island so much. I have been living in Texas for 6 years and I can’t wait to go back to my home.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful videos of Puerto Rico. I love the food, culture and people of the island. I always find it difficult to understand why people like to write negative comments under every video of Puerto Rico.

definitely need to visiting PUERTO RICO!!!

OMG. We ordered from that Big China place in Aguadilla, and I did it the way I'm used to here in NY, and we wound up eating the leftovers for the rest of the trip! Their portions are so big. The first time I went to PR, in Old San Juan, we stopped at this place I think called Mr. Pretzel (it's not there to my knowledge), but they had a tripleta sandwich with those potato sticks on it, and I remember it being so amazing.

That's one of the things I miss about Puerto Rico delicious food there's a lot of variety and great flavors 😋

Honestly ppl question why I eat certain things in PR I can have in the states like Chinese, church chicken, Pollo tropical, to name a few, and it's because the flavors r SO GOOD! I love that when you ate the ice scream the background was the holy moment of La Rosa de Guadalupe tv show, that's perfect God sent timing!

Vamos para allá!!! Definitivamente hay que ir a probar esos helados en Lares. Wow, y la pizza que rica se ve!!!

The fact that you guys did it on the other side of PR el Campo like most people say it's the best thing ever. I go visit my grandma in San Sebastian so excited to try these places.

Puerto Rican Chinese food surprised me when I came here because it's such a popular place for fried chicken and French fries. And I'm still surprised when I first open that box and find fries scattered over my orange chicken 🤣. I hope you try bacalaitos and octopus salad with tostones next time. And definitely stop into a Selectos supermarket cafeteria during lunch service for an amazing affordable lunch.

Excellent video! 👍🏻 Chinese puertorican style rice w scrambled eggs and pieces of ham mixed in. That and fried *chicken is the best combo! 🤤 The ice cream place looks fun & would love to try that corn scoop. Next time, hopefully you get to try some MAVÍ- another delicious traditional drink & one I haven't seen much of in P.R. travel videos. 😉

You can find at La Pumtilla in Old San Juan. There’s a food cesndor that sells Maví in tha location!!that’s where I ve had Maví the last few times I’ve visited the island. You, also, can find it some of the inland towns, and in North Philadelphia! Love Maví!

Nice video. That's the food we love to eat. Not sure if you had gone to Guavate, definitely worth taking the trip down there.

Puerto rican chinesse food was my childhood staple and the hotdogs never seen them made like they were made back there in my island and ice cream yes he def took you to the right places.

Many of the Chinese food restaurants when I lived in NY often sold fried plantains (tostones). You just had to ask for an order of them. And I lived in mostly non- hispanic neighborhoods.

Just came back from Puerto Rico, stayed in Luquillo Beach & San Juan. All of this is accurate. All of it is delicious. Everyone should go. And the prices! I had incredible Habichuelas Guisadas y arroz con pollo that had me in tears, less than $10

Puerto Rican food is the best on earth. I ate it for 12 years while I worked and lived there. Even married a PR girl. State side food doesn't cut it for me.

I would want to try that pizza. On my bucket list, now.
