I'm a Dental Assistant and we have been having our patients rinse with Peroxyl by Colgate 1st and then Listerine right after and throughout their procedure. I also use it after learning how it kills germs! The Oral Surgeons started doing this to help cut down on infections before they would do any procedures. I haven't been sick at all since doing this! Something so simple and easy!!

Another mouthwash to use would be half Cepacol and half hydrogen peroxide. I was born with a cleft palate and my doctor would have me gargle with that in the hospital as well as at home after surgeries. If it can help prevent possible infection and being anti bacterial after oral surgeries then it should be beneficial for COVID. Flushing out your sinuses would probably help too with hot/warm filtered water. You want to kill most of if not all of the virus at the source. Of course taking vitamins D3, C and Zinc too.

I decided to gargle Listerine to see if it would help because it was really annoying me. After doing it several times a day for a few days(with the addition of taking zicam and limiting sugar intake) I realized I never actually got sick. Have not yet tried this, plan to soon. Shared to my FB and Twitter. Holistic approach is far better than conventional, depending totally on medical science. I have gargled with well water, (I live rural), which is pure, with a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide. Gargle 30 seconds, with head held back. Works great! I am 72, no covid ever! I also take vitamin D, Lysine, powered C stirred in water, E, a few times a week, not even daily. I drink home brewed green tea with honey, daily. No junk foods, no fast foods, nothing from cans or boxes. I do not smoke or drink alcohol. I use essential oil soap for bathing, and occasional detox bath in Epsom salt. Stay away from manufactured so called "natural" products. Read labels! Thank you Drbeen for your excellent lectures!

This applies to any supplements and why it is said that before taking supplements, talk to your Dr to determine deficiencies, if any, and what best to do about them. Example, smoking depletes Vit-C quickly, so should a smoker take a supplement? Maybe. If you are having enough meat, fish, beans, you have normal zinc already. If, for example, allergies or something prevent you from eating those things, then maybe a zinc supplement is needed.

Then I also take a Q-tip and water the tip and put some hydrogen peroxide on them and swab my nostrils and press them together to make sure it touches all mucas membranes and then two more Q-tips and swab my ears - It immediately clears any sense of stuffiness and clears up everything. I do this AM and PM and AM and then all sense of sickness, sore throat etc is GONE!!! For almost 50 years, as soon as I felt a cold or infection developing in my throat, I have been gargling with Listerine (the original yellowish one--NOT any of the newer green or blue ones) several times (2, 3 or4, depending on severity) per day. I swallow a tiny amount each time, and can do it up to a dozen times per session (until all flehm feels gone). The gargling is VERY deep in my throat, and it took quite some time to overcome the normal gag reflex that occurs when one swallows so deeply. During that lengthy period, I've NEVER gotten a serious cold, and in a day or 2 (rarely, 3) I'm usually back to normal. I believe the original Listerine has the highest alcohol level of its various types (and it has a less viscous composition, which helps with the 'cleaning'), and the green or blue versions never did as good a 'cleaning' as the original. Too bad that wasn't the one tested. Prior to the study you just discussed, I had assumed that I'd probably be doing the same if I ever got a sense that I was coming down with Covid, but now I'm certain that 'll be doing it vigorously if Covid strikes, and until I feel it's gone. I also do 2x/wk HCQ plus zinc, and daily D3 (3k) & C (1k) supplements.

I could hardly talk and it felt like I had a knife in my throat. Bad case of bronchitis and It seemed like nothing was helping. The doctor said I would always be prone to episodes of bronchitis. Well, a friend suggested that I gargle with iodine, a few drops in water and be sure not to swallow any as it was poison. Well, I tried it, following the instructions. And I was flabbergasted. I gargled once or twice, and that whole thing cleared up almost immediately and I’ve never had bronchitis since. So I can see why iodine came out with the best results.

@@marciabarreto780 The little bottle had a dropper and it was just a few drops in a small glass. I think the bottle would have precise instructions. It was a long time ago. But it really worked fast. I would definitely try it again if I needed it. I don’t know if I’d use it unless I had a sore throat, I mean just to gargle, just because I’d be afraid of swallowing it and it’s really a poison. I’m not a very good gargler and I’d probably just be too cautious for regular use.

I told my patients about the study that showed 99% eradication of C-19 from Post Oropharynx using Crest Pro Health containing Alcohol , while Listerine eradicated 95% of C-19. Furthermore, another study described using a nasal spray containing Xylitol + Grapefruit seed extract -- showed it inhibited C-19 in the Nasal passages. Both types of agents should be used daily during C-19 surges as a practical and safe intervention., or even for daily use, given the excellent safety profile of these agents.

This is what l use and when. As soon as l get what I believe to be the symptoms of Covid/flu runny nose mucus/sneezing etc. I take two small pieces of cotton wool and sprinkle a small amount of Betadine/ Iodine on each piece then place it into your nasal passage. Within minutes it will clear away. It works for me so give it a go!! I discovered this as soon as I learned Iodine this mucus.

There was a study on Hypertonic Saline nasal irrigation and gargling early in the pandemic. I think NIH has a copy of it. Really strange that it wasn't talked about at all then. I talked about it a bunch and people looked at me sideways. Not sure why it's hard to understand. You're rinsing out some of the virus, and leaving a more hostile environment for what stays behind in your nose and mouth for a short time. Then you do it again and again until you recover. Used to do this all the time when I had a cold. No meds, just warm salt water. It always noticeably reduced my symptom severity.
