I am 70 years old. I had Covid January 2021. My doc gave me Ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, and all kinds of vitamins including zinc, quercetin, D, B and melatonin at night--oh and NAC. He said to take Ivermectin until I felt better, which was 2 days. I took the rest of the meds and was totally fine after a few days.

Yes many of us were able to help many others with Delta variant because of him. I was considering the use of doxycycline but had no one to talk to about it and then I heard of him and how he started with Z-Pak and showed the world anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties of that. So it was a logical progression to use doxycycline instead which has more benefit. I know we saved the lung health and also lives of many because of him. It's so sad that more professionals wouldn't listen, use critical thinking, and be open-minded. Could have been the most rewarding time of their careers.

Like many within the comments section I caught covid-19 (from my young children) in January 2022. I was 50 yrs old at the time, unvaccinated and lived in London UK. Fortunately by the time I contracted covid I had been taking taking zinc, querticine, vit D etc beforehand. The evening I first tested positive and started to feel feverish I took my pre prescribed ivermectin tablets and went to bed with the worst headache I had ever experienced in my life. During that night I listened to a live podcast by Dr Bean who was also suffering from covid-19 at the time. Thank you @DrBean as that podcast helped me through that night as I feared that this was only the start of worst symptoms I might experience. Fortunately By the following morning my headache had mostly gone and aside from a week of fatigue I didn’t experience any further symptoms.

I got covid this past August. I am 58, have high blood pressure (under control) and asthma, but don't typically have symptoms of asthma. I am kinda "high risk." However, I've taken 50mg of Zinc Picolinate for a few years. I am also not vaccinated. After I was diagnosed with covid I DID NOTHING to treat it. I continued with the zinc and the multivitamin I've always taken. I am also active. So, with no change to what I always do (other than having to stay home from work) I was done with it in 8-10 days. During that time I had to MAKE myself NOT mow the lawn, even though it needed it, and I felt fine enough to do it. During the 10 days I didn't always feel that good, but was never bed ridden. No big issue. Just like a summer cold. Covid is a bigger issue to my employer than to me. No biggie.

There are additional results that would be interesting. One thing would be the death rates comparison between the 15-day and 30-day periods. Perhaps the mortalities happened mainly within 15 days, accounting for the lowered difference between fatalities. An additional dimension should be introduced - weight. The dosage should be administered in terms of units per kg of body weight. The efficacy of the dose would be very different if a person is 50 kg compared to a person who is 100 kg. This might especially be important when blood sugar (diabetes) and hypertension signal different results. There is an interaction between copper and zinc. Perhaps copper levels need to be recorded as well. Returning to the diabetes complication, maybe the blood sugar levels need to be monitored and the subjects put into ketosis with diet and intermittent fasting.

So, am I correct in thinking that the point of Hydroxychloroquine is that it helps zinc absorption on the part of people who don't absorb it so well? Is this why we see inconclusive trial results, ie. people who absorb zinc well can't benefit from Hydroxychloroquine?

I'm in my late 60s and have early AMD - age-related macular degeneration. I was diagnosed several years ago and was immediately put on the AREDS 2 vitamins, which contain very high levels of several vitamins, including zinc and C. Upshot is, I've caught C19 three times and it was just an annoyance - you feel lousy for a few days and then you are over it. I've recommended to several friends they start taking the vitamins recommended for eye health, AMD in particular, as those will cover the bases for C19 as well.

Thank you😊 drbeen. Very helpful info for the flu season. I am passing it on to my family members! Also thought about that in regards to keeping your breath warm when you told us about that study to wear scarves. Have a pleasant holiday season. Hope to see you next week!

Masks are dangerous. If your mask stops a blog laden with the virus, you will then continue to spread it far and wide with continued exhalation through that mask. Had the drop fallen to the ground it would dry up and die and not have spread. Masks do not work for the purpose some people think they are intended.

Thank you a lot for all you do for us. I am somehow covid-alergic (I have dramatic symptoms at the vaccines and I am in day 14 of covid now, which was also very dramatic for me - we also have, as a family, very hard symptoms at all the viruses - I always go to 42 degrees fever for a common cold, so I would qualify my immune system as overreactive). As our work is vital for society and my colegue was hospitalized, I had to overwork in pain and all the other symptoms (from home) and so my tests delayed to become negative about 2 days. I had zinc, vit. C, D, my statins, antiinflamatory medication as they are prescribed, melatonin and methilene blue and I tried to eat, but I could not rest. I drank lots of water as I was loosing it all the time by all the ways water could exit a body, to mantain some of my TA for the effort with not too much coffeine. I still have symptoms, my nose is still inflamated (not runny, but swallowed and not functional for breathing). Recently I fasted 16 hours, the inflamation ceased after 14, but after I ate, my nose went back to the inflamated state. I am very slim and I eat keto as a habbit, so I don't expect much difference after fasting. My liver and my intestins are still suffering. I added some more zinc, 8 mg last night and 8 mg in the morning and the nose is reacting by opening for me to breath in the digestion of the pill time. I was in fear of long covid. After I took zinc, breathing freely I now believe I will get well soon. My brain fog almost dissapeard this morning. I will take my zinc from now on. And I will wear my mask again. Thank you a lot for your lectures! I wish you and your dear ones a healthy long life and happiness!

Yes, I believe zinc with copper helps, but as with anything, too much could disrupt the nervous system and blood flow to toes and fingers and notably when exposed to cold. Could just be me? Had covid at 65 and was a relaxing holiday, although I did take Ivermectin, vitamins c, d with k2, b12, aspirin, quercetin, and zinc with copper. Hot and cold showers. Focused on the life force and breathing as deep as possible, as much as possible. Really appreciate breathing. Terrain is everything. Merry Christmas!
