Mountain Lion with Warner Glenn | Bear Grease Roadshow
Спорт
Warner Glenn is an 87-year old rancher and dry ground lion hunter in Arizona. On this episode Clay Newcomb explores the story of the Glenn’s ranch, their hunting and Warner’s incredible legacy. Warner is certainly one of the oldest living, working cowboys in America and isn’t showing any signs of slowing down as he and Clay hunt mountain lion.

Warner Glenn reminds me of the man that I work for part time at the moment. During the week I teach in a small school in Montana, but on the weekends I work as the night calver during the spring calving season on a ranch. The old man who's family I work for is 85 and just as sharp as ever. He still works incredibly hard, and can read when a cow is about to calve better than anyone I've ever seen. He was an incredible pilot back in the day and used to fly biologists to do game surveys, take hunters to remote areas, etc. He's always up around 5am, when I'm close to ending my shift and he always comes down to the barn with coffee to visit with me if I'm not caught up with something. I love hearing stories and wisdom of 80+ years as a rancher, pilot, hunter, wild land fire fighter, and miner. These men are to be treasured, and more of their stories need to be told.

If possible get a camera and film these interactions,I would love to hear these stories before they are lost forever🎥
Loved the episode. Mr Glenn is the kind of man that made America what it is today. We need more like him.
I cannot express how excited I am about bear grease becoming so big, Clay has become my favorite guy to follow. The way he goes into subjects with such genuine curiosity and the depth of the research he gives to subjects is honorable. Not to mention the quality of topics he chooses, Warner Glenn is a look back to a by gone era but at the same time an idol for young men of today to strive for. The world needs more Warner Glenn's and Clay Newcomb's.

One of the best episodes ever. Can’t wait to see more of this series.
Clay is the man ! Always enjoy whatever he does. Meateater found them a good one - getting ol’ Clay to join the team.
True American right there. That's a beautiful thing watching that man work with his family and dogs
Truly inspirational to see this. The world needs more Warner Glenns and his daughter.
That was a great watch. Guy is a living legend what a honor to join a man like that in the field
Mr Glenn is a true living legend. God bless and keep him.
Best part of Bear Grease and Clay Newcomb is the greatest examples of what it means to be a human.
Warner wrote a book, including the photos, of the Jaguar encounter called "Eyes of Fire" it's an amazing story. Warner is essentially a Louis Lamour character, a larger than life cowboy. The Glenn's are an American treasure.
I'm 60 yrs old and I remember readin stories of Warner Glenn trackin Lions back in my 20's in Outdoor Life, Sports Afield and several other publications, he's the Master Lion Hunter!
For being 87 and having "slowed down a lot," Warner looks to be in great shape. God bless him and keep him going!
Now this is a Superman. I pray for good health and incredible years ahead Mr. Glenn.
I come from an open range ranching community, Meeting Warner through your interview has made this One of my all time favorite meat eater episodes. Thanks Clay
Those folks are livin true American freedom!!! 💪🇺🇸💯
Clay has been truly one of the best additions to the MeatEater crew. Love the quality of the storytelling

Born in Arizona 1980. Had no idea there’s jaguars coming up the country. Badass!! 💪🇺🇸💯
Been waiting to see the legendary Warner Glenn ever since I heard the podcast. The world needs good people like the Glenn’s.
Mr Glenn is a true American legend. Clay you have done him a great justice by showing him to the world! BRAVO BRAVO
Bravo Clay. Your narration is unmatched.
Mr Glenn reminds me of my grandfather, a lifelong rancher and one of the toughest guys I’ve known. He lost a hand in a roping accident mid-life, but kept on ranching. Godspeed to the Glenn family and others like them everywhere!
Bear Grease never disappoints!!! Keep hammering Clay!!!😎👍👍👍
Anything Clay is associated with, turns to gold, he deserves the world just as Warner does. Damn Good Boys right there!
What a legend! Thanks for sharing this great story of a great man and family ❤️ ❤❤ ❤❤❤❤❤
Very few men like Mr. Glenn still exist in America. Legend
Very inspirational. Good show Clay. Thanx MeatEater
Clay is an outstanding story teller. I’m thankful he joined the meat eater team. Clay knows how to find those salt of the earth people that a lot of us hunters draw our inspiration from. Thanks clay your awesome 👍👍
Clay is a great part of Meat Eater and Mr. GLEN is an American icon and some one that we all could learn from and should strive to be more like every day.

Outstanding, Mr. Newcomb!!!
Please make more of these! Fantastic content. What a truly American character!
Mr Warner Glenn reminds me a lot of my grandpa, he's an amazing man and I appreciate the glimpse into his life
Warner reminds me of a man named John Vincent in my early career in aviation as a young A&P. He was a A&P mechanic crop duster CFI multi rated pulled banners a real cowboy in the sky. We flew flew everything everywhere. He was so fun to be around and I would weigh in his every word. I still cherish the years we spent together. Great video. Thanks
The world is desperate for more Warner Glenn's.
Probably one of the best things I have seen on MeatEater.
What an amazing man, reminds me of my late granddad. Here's wishing him another 20 years in the saddle.
This was so awesome. Easily one of the best things Meateater has put out. LOVED it. Cannot wait to share this video with my dad.
Warner G. is my cousin! I really admire this man and his family! Have always enjoyed visiting the family ranches in Southern Arizona! I enjoyed listening to the Bear Grease Podcasts they did on Warner and his daughter Kelly and granddaughter McKenzie! We shared these Podcasts with all the family and many friends! 🤗💕
Clay is a top notch guy who gives credit where credit is due. The same can be said for Mr Glen. I think I can truly say I’d trade time off my life to spend a day with Glen. We need more men like him passing wisdom on. Goose bumps the whole episode. He’ll probably never know I wrote this, but thank you for being a true American hero.
Don’t make like they used to ! Bloody legend , Love these episodes keep up the good work everyone 👍👍looking forward to what’s next .thank you .
What a life!!!! This could be a video filmed 100 years ago!!! It's awesome to put a face to the podcast. The podcast was great and so is this video!! Anything with Mr Clay, count me in. That's my dude!!!
"Drive slow and drink lots of water"..love it !
This has to be the absolute best video I have ever seen on KZread. I could sit and listen to Mr. Glenn and his Daughter tell stories for days. I love to watch these videos of the old timers hunting cougar’s on dry ground. Nothing better than watching a good hound working a track.
I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed watching this The history of our country from the field to the table of what has fed our nation for generations. ❤ thank you
The filmmaking in this is probably the best I’ve seen from meateater. Hats off to whoever shot this!
Boy am I glad I found this channel two people with mules horse's and hunting g dogs along with a working ranch hard working honest God fearing that's hard to find these days thank you both
Men like Warner Glenn, his ancestors, and family built this country with hard work and grit. We need more folks like that today. Those type of people exist today, they are just very few and far between compared to how many there use to be even just a few decades ago let alone a half century ago.
I was just thinking about how i was bummed the Walleye Tour was over, and this video drops! Thanks!
Great stuff. Wish the episode was another 30 minutes longer. Well done
I loved meat eater and everything they stood for then clay Newcomb came along and cranked it up times 100. Love ya brother
Well done Clay and team! Warner Glenn is the real deal!
Great stuff Clay! The Warner Glenn podcast episode was one of my all-time favorites.
Been waiting for this since the podcast!! Love all of clays content. What a privilege to meet Warner Glenn!!
Two minutes in, I already know this is sensational. Thanks for this.
Absolutely love Clays Documentary work. And this movie was a perfect example of his ability.
It’s incredible to be able to hear stories from people like Warner and his daughter.
Man this episode was just awesome! What a story and such a great way to capture the persona of this man. I would love to sit and listen to his stories for hours.
Mr Glenn I salute you sir your one of a kind! Keep on keepin on
Reminds me of my dad! 71 and still ranching! We hunted and ranched in central Idaho and had graze permits in the mountains. I saw a lot over the 21 years I lived that life!
Always very happy to see people from my part of the world. Vaqueros para siempre, roping lions, deer and livestock
Ready for the next video. No pressure...hard to beat that one. Amazing
Wow….did i say wow… one of the best meat eater episodes I’ve seen in awhile, well done clay! Thanks to Warner for leading by example…
Those of us fortunate enough to have someone in our lives who live/d the same way Warner has can really appreciate this episode. Really enjoyed this!
That was a great mini movie. I remember listening to the Bear Grease Podcast about Mr. Warner. What a cool dude.

What a legend. Thank you for showing us a great man's story.
What a great story! This was the first meat eater episode but not the last I’ll watch. A way of living as part of nature, it's wonderful no matter where you are in the world. greetings from Finland
Hands down no question Mr Glenn is one of the toughest men in America today. He has to be!!! 86 years young and cattle ranching!! I mean c'mon man!! He's working circles around most young men these days, absolutely incredible. He's from another time, they don't make em like him anymore. I know, I'm 40 and he's tougher en me!!! I'm not ashamed to admit it!!! Fantastic!!💪💪🤘🤘🇺🇲🇺🇲♥️
Very cool. I knew a cowboy once. He's been gone awhile. It was a privilege. He showed me few things. Rare breed.
Fantastic film! I’ve listened to all the bear grease podcasts and really love putting a face with a voice. Hope to see more of these.
My wife turned me to the bear grease podcast and I've made it to episode 22 now. This has been so fun to listen to. Being a native Texan and love the west and good ol cow country I love hearing stories from a true cowboy
What an amazing man. Thank you for sharing his story Clay.
That man is tougher than anyone I know..and evidently taught his daughter to be the same. Nothing but solid respect
These episodes are great to see after hearing these different personalities on the podcast. Y’all knocked it out of the park w this series in my opinion.
He's a legend around home jaguars and all .. my neck of the woods
