pretty sure this wasnt meant to be uploaded to yt. the sound levels may have been in 5.1. but now its done to 2.1. problem is, that now the speaker tracks overlap

maybe because of the hd surround sound of the video that when uploaded on youtube, it made the music more loader than their voices... full hd sound is not good to convert it into standard stereo..

rborsibor this was filmed almost 10 years ago. Season 7, 2005. around the same time youtube was launched. so its obvious that this wouldn't be in HD.

KZread was launched at around 2001. Internet in 1995. KZread just deleted all the old videos so the oldest videos on KZread are 2005.

Origonal episodes are perfect, some muppets on here thinking it's poor editing on the BBC's part. The problem is obviously what's happened when it was uploaded to you tube.

Yes he is, he clips as he goes, and his mate is belaying. Means if he comes off, he'll only fall double the distance to the last bolt. Standard lead sport climbing.

@@edprince It's not all sport though, some sections on this climb have huge run out between bolts and most climbers take some trad gear for these bits, which he isn't doing. There's also a long chimney section with very few bolts and nowhere to place pro, so you'd be pretty much unprotected.

The music was never actually meant to be there. If you watch the original episode there is very little music on the tape. Whoever uploaded it put the music there separately, and this meant they could not alter the separate voices volume etc. Thought I would explain it...

the one who did the sound mixing should start double checking his work before publishing it :)

To all that is blaming the audio guy. When you watching the episode on bflix or Pirate Bay the sound is perfect. It’s the same with the video with the Volvo S60 R. Terrible sound on BBC’s upload on KZread with the music drowning the voice but perfect on all other places.

Is this a joke? Not sure what happened, but I've got the original BBC recording of this episode, and it has completely different music, with perfect audio mixing (voices are clear and engine sound is epic). This one is rubbish.

Turns out that BBC has a music licensing deal for broadcasting that doesn't let them use certain songs on other platforms such as KZread. Even the official blurays have replacement music! Such a shame..
