Mould Illness and CFS recovery: Alexandra pushes back against doctors and family!

Alexandra shares her difficult decisions in her quest for mould illness recovery and and CFS recovery (chronic fatigue syndrome recovery) and how despite a 'brain-training' program not helping her, she decided to try ANS REWIRE anyway and succeeded with her recovery.
When you try all the treatments you find out about, and keep receiving different diagnoses, it can be a harrowing experience. Alexandra details the frustrations around mould illness and accessing whether mould toxicity treatments are working when her environment changed and possible mould exposures and mould symptoms are difficult to assess.
Further, the pressure from family and friends around how to approach both mould (mold) illness and CFS recovery was a source of constant conflict, especially in regards to medications for mental health diagnosis.
Alexandra goes into all the details of her 4 year journey with mould illness and CFS and shares the insights of her recovery.

I'm so glad you've recovered! After over a decade of ME/CFS, we realized I WAS getting triggered by the mold on my husband's work clothes. He works at a large grain processing factory and I would go downhill every evening after being near him. My episodes of paralysis mostly resolved after he started changing and showering before coming inside. I did do two years of mold treatment with no improvement. Lately I've done the ANS rewire program and had a stellate ganglion block which reboots your ANS. I went from being completely couchbound for over a decade to now I'm able to exercise 30-60 minutes a day without crashing! The SGB has been the main thing to help me get on a road to recovery, finally!! I wish it was more well known about as it should help many people like us! God bless you Dan and all of the rest of us on this crazy journey 😀

I know how Alexandra felt, ihave CFS diagnosed in 1996 had Biopsy done on leg,to take muscle tissue out, this was the only way to find out if you have fibronalgia, went abroad to try and recover it worked for a while, but like alexandra explains you never recover fully,Living abroad come back in 2016 because I had severe arthritis in knee, had bad flu after vax in 2017,symptoms come back and gradually got worse up until today where i need wheelchair to visit hospital and medical appointments,I was told a previous illness attacks your immune system, which I had measles caught off my daughter when she was 3,my symtoms are severe weakness in limbs, cant sleep properly, pee every 30 mins, brain fog forget many things need to write down things, cant write and difficulty in typing this, sensitive to light always have curtains closed.very interesting about this mold, just had wall paper moved from bedroom and walls treated, but did not take notice of this because I had illness many years before this,Happy Alexandra is recovering but Im 65 in June,Universal Credit have not paid me sickness benefit,so many tribunals also adds to my stress levels,Just sent in another claim which I told them about my zimmer for house and wheelchair for going out,Just this morning they are sending me info saying I dont need to look or go for work, also I had type 2 diabetes toof metaformin and statins for blood pressure, found out online that statins causes CFS symtoms so I come off both and eat salads every day,I had recent blood test and blood sugars are normal and thats after 10 months of not taking medication,At least I know now its still CFS symtoms and not diabetes symtoms because weakness levels are the same,Thank you very much for doing this video and im very tired now after typing this,Good luck

I did not want to mentioned the name in the interview as maybe someone else is working with DNRS and listens and do not want them to get discouraged. I asked from DNRS the refound at 6 months mark (they do not give it to you before) and they did. No questions asked. Please come back and tell me how ANS program goes for you. I recovered nearly 4 years ago, and have since been a guest on this podcast and have been interviewed about my recovery. I now have several hypnotherapy and Health coaching clients who are recovering from ME/CFS/FM. I don't watch recovery videos anymore, but I thought I'd listen to this episode to see if I could find something that may help my clients. What I discovered in Alexandra's interview are words and phrases that I believe are key components to successful recovery. Alexandra approached her illness as many of us have, but what's unique is how she approached her recovery. She said several things that I and others have said about our recovery success, and I think it's important for people to really hear these things. She had tried a brain training program before but it relief too heavily on visualizations, and she understood she was limited in that visual capacity, but saw the value in an approach that focused on neuroplasticity so she was willing to try a different program that included brain retraining and more. She realized that a condensed program required too much, and preferred a self-placed program with multiple modules. She had really reached rock bottom, had finally accepted, surrendered to the illness. This is not the same as giving up. There is empowerment in this moment. There was no self blame, but she understood that she had to do this herself, and that in order to recover, habit/lifestyle change would be required. She began to understand her triggers more clearly. She was willing to do anything. She said she treated her recovery like her full time job, was focused and determined to do what was required, and to find one success a day, that she would do what she could when she could do it, as opposed to an all or none approach. She also realized when she was NOT doing what she should be doing, and she made that course correction. These are gold nuggets. Congratulations Alexandra, and thank you for extending your wisdom and knowledge from the other side of recovery with others!
