As much as this thing lost it’s rear departure angle it has proven itself an undeniable off-roader with a minor lift and good tires! The interior was far superior to the 98! Although the 5.9 was sorely missed! My daughter has an 01 4.0 Laredo with the upgraded interior (heated leather and sunroof, not quite a Limited). The WJ has a 2” lift, it never let me down and is our favourite car for weekend activities. It’s super reliable and when something breaks down, repairments are almost never expensive.
