Motorola bought Vertex Standard from Yaesu and killed off their commercial HF offerings, then they bought Micom and mismanaged the brand so badly it's gone away. Now Motorola has purchased Barrett Communications of Australia, a leading manufacturer of military and commercial HF radios. If I was Barrett, I'd be watching my back
