@@billymarshall1613 I had a small test on road signs but nothing seemed dependent on it and you won’t need to know all of them but it is good to know quite a few as some were very obscure ones

@@Custox really easy mate passed, just be confident know how the Highway Code works, take your time and listen to instructions

Got my cbt on Thursday. I have to do it on an automatic, then I have to take a conversation course afterwards to learn to ride a manual, seeing as I'm aiming for a full licence.

Thanks for this, great video! - Im 15, but will be turning 16 in a few months and im planning on doing my cbt sometime soon after my birthday. Did you do it on a 50cc or a 125? Im gonna be on a 50 and ideally a geared bike, but ive heard they can take AGES to get up to speed, how did you find it out on the road? Especially with lorries and stuff being faster than you lmao

Thanks, When I did my CBT I did it on a 50cc automatic 4 stroke which was really slow up hills and everything is quicker than you on the road. If I had to choose again I would have got a 2 stroke automatic moped as when you are on a 50cc you do not really need gears as you would be constantly changing the gears but that is just my opinion, geared bikes are alot more fun tho.

Nothing to be nervous about, you just need to show that you can control the bike as there is no pass or fail, The real learning is when your out on the road on your own.

I know that you will be able to apply for your provisional license in October but I'm not sure you can complete your cbt until your 16.

Something I wish I Did and what u should do is you should book your cbt before your birthday and book it for after so that you get a spot as now I’m stuck and can only get one on the 20th of July

You can only ride 50cc bikes when 16 right? I'm planning on taking cbt in half a year after my birthday so that's why I'm asking.

Would you recommend 2 stroke 50 or 4 stroke

Do you have a choice of weather you take the test on a automatic moped or a geared bike as I'd much rather do mine on a auto moped as thats what ill be buying

For the cbt yes but I think for a proper motorbike test it’s a bit different.

I just went for my cbt 3 days ago I’ve passed I can only ride a 50 cc yet coz I’m only 16

Are gloves, protective footwear needed? Will joggers give you any protection when you fall off?

For your cbt you can wear jeans and a strong pair of boots and the rest of the kit is supplied for you by the cbt centre unless you want to buy your own kit.

If I wanted to use a geared 50cc bike would I have to purchase it first then use it for my cbt since they only use automatics for 50cc cbts ( for hiring ) unless there’s a cbt centre that allows me to hire a geared 50 cc instead of automatic

You can do your cbt on an auto 50cc and then just jump straight onto your geared 50cc when you get home 👍

That was Ajs Firefox 50cc, they might do a 125cc version but I'm not sure.

You wouldn't have to re-do it as there was a guy doing his when I did mine and her was awful and still passed, worst case scenario is they would just tell you to come back the next day for some extra training. If you are worried about the gears you can do it on a auto and then jump on ur manual when you get back home 👍

Nah,I did my cbt at shires motorbike training and yeah there is a ridiculous amount of glass in that car park 😂

No you do not need a theory test, the CBT is all you will need.

I am 17teen looking for a 125 cc for travelling to work just wondering on the cbt how long will it take. Is it a one day thingS. Also what are the mileage I’d get out of a 125 moped standard twist and go

The cbt would take you 1 day roughly around 8 hours and you would probably get about 130 miles per tank of fuel which only costs like £5 to fill up, my new Honda grom gets about 120 miles to a tank.

Just have a quick look through the Highway Code, can’t really fail a cbt as it isn’t a test so the worst that can happen is they say come back for an extra day training

If you pass the CBT on automatic scooter can you ride Gears bikes 125 or you need to go back on CBT with gears bike

If you are over 17+ years old and do it on an auto you will still be able to ride a 125 geared with no further training, same goes for if you do your cbt on a auto at 16 and then turn 17 you will still be able to ride a manual 125 once you are 17 years old.

For the UK, if you passed your car license before February 2001 you will not need a cbt for a 50cc but if not then you would be required to take a cbt. 👍

How much is insurance for a beginner rider? I want to do my CBT and start delivering to make some income

If you are 16-17 I'd say it's about £500 for the first year but I've got mine down to £190 on my second year

It's a standard from the gov about sight, so they should have you do so yes, it also happens for car lessons. : "Standards of vision for driving You must be able to read (with glasses or contact lenses, if necessary) a car number plate made after 1 September 2001 from 20 metres." Edit: as well as testing your eyesight on the CBT they'll also check it on the actual test.

If you passed your driving test on or after the 1st of February 2001 you can ride a 50cc without L plates but if not you need a cbt which takes one day to do.

With me. I was nervous before mine. When you initially get on the bike and do the first few parts. It’s a bit scary. After that. You get used to it and love it. When you get onto the road it can be overwhelming at first but I absolutely loved it. Good luck mate

Not really as it is just a training day but would help if you had a quick look through the Highway Code

Do they ask you road safety and stuff ? And if yes where do you learn them from ?

They only ask you very basic road safety, the cbt is not a pass or fail anyway it's just training, if you need to learn some I'd suggest looking in the high way code.

Nah it isn't that hard, just think of it as a training day not a test, anyone can pass a cbt and if you need more training they will just book you in for another day.

You had to wear boots when I did mine but if u haven’t got any the CBT centre will probably give u some on the day.

Yeah, not quite sure on the distance but yes you do have to be able to do that before going onto the road
