great video IV done 5 CBT to me it's all second nature IV been riding bikes all my life from fields bike now road bikes I'm doing my a1 license just for fun as I'm 33 and DSA in January next year

One piece of info (Left life saver at Roundabout) contradicted info given in another CBT KZread vid (Lexmoto training)(Who suggested "Right life saver" when coming off a roundabout), but I guess a lifesaver in EITHER direction could be extra helpful. However, I think the advice given, especially, which gears to use, and checking left and right as soon as on approach to the roundabout is all great advice. Deasha seemed confident and there was a fair few potholes in the roads round your way - so lots of natural hazards to be aware of. Thanks for posting this video.

I found that section through the housing estate, crucial - plenty of hazard awareness! I haven't seen so much in depth commentary through such an environment, so that was really useful. Hopefully it will help me when I come to do it here in Northampton!

​@@RJHMotorbikeTraining Unfortunately, I had balance issues at my free training session at 90-one training, Obelisk Rise, Kingsthorpe, Northampton on 7th Sept 2020 (I can't ride a bicycle, so it was really no surprise that I didn't get far). I wasn't invited to come back for the CBT course (On 18th Sept) and that has devasted me. Gutted about it, but I really appreciate the opportunity I was given, even so briefly. Having never done anything like that before, at least I tried something new, even if I failed fulfill my Biking ambition.

Leo-Neferuaten Boyle get a pushbike and ride it for a few months. Book another taster session. You can do it if you put the time into it. We ALL start off at the beginning

@@RJHMotorbikeTraining Thanks for the advice and morale boost. Hopefully, one day, I can try again. I still want to be that (A biker). I've never had a "need for speed" (As some bikers do), but I see it more as a mode of transport AND of course the "whole package" (Wearing the kit and the experience of it). At 44 years old, I sometimes feel I'm too old to ever achieve that ambition, but I want to still be hopeful.

Hi I appreciate that this was done 2 years ago so I don't really expect a response but I am going to be taking my cbt next month can I ask if I can expect my instructor the be as verbally comprehensive as you have been I mean is there a standardised way to do thing's

@@RJHMotorbikeTraining hi after the covid 19 lock down was implemented my cbt was postponed but i have now completed it a couple of weeks ago and my instructor pretty much said the same as you. I actually found it easier than i expected and my instructor was patient which I appreciated i now have 2 years to think if i want to get my full bike licence

You're constantly reminding her.. when i did my cbt last weekend, all I got was "right ash 3rd exit" that is it.. and fuckd up because i forgot to indicate and i need another lesson.. :/

How come the instructor was saying indicator THEN lifesaver on roundabout? Shouldn't it be mirror, signal, shoulder check, manoeuvre?

Good question. The system to apply is OSM PSL O being Observations so a mirrors or a lifesaver however a lifesaver would be more favoured in this situation. In a car you use MSM PSL which is Mirrors. So Indicator then lifesaver is ok

When i done mine i showed up wearing trainers but they told me i couldnt do it so i had to change into boots lucky i managed to borrow a pair

Had a 50 at 16 and returning to bikescat 54. Did a taster at RJH in Eccled a couple of weeks ago, fantastic experience, not quite regained confidence yet so doing another before CBT. Very encouraging video- nice quiet route to start off! Which centre was this filmed at?

I have failed today , I don’t know why did they made me fail? I did exactly what they said.. I had experience before, but just by one mistake( checking my shoulders ) they said , go and book another appointment, 😢😢 👉 business centre 😡 nothing else
