By doing this will if fix the XI5 from spinning out of control before I purchase a new GPS module,and thank you for the video ,Bass Pro has already replaced the control board and lower unit under warranty

I have a question about doing this do you set the motor to go left after doing this on the water

Can this motor be used for autonomous boat for a trip from Japan to Canada? Do the waypoints have a distance limitation?

If I have this installed on my kayak, how should I go about the calibration when I'm on the water?! I had some wonky issues today

my xi5 picks up the satellite, it will do the course heading mode ,but when i try to use the anchor function it will not work, any ideas? thanks

My unit won’t connect to the satellite and it’s driving me nuts. Spend 2 hrs on the lake trying to get it to work.

Out for first day on water. No GPS, spinning like a top on the lake. Gave up and just wanted to manually operate. All good manual. Then all a sudden 25 minutes later GPS started to work. However anchor was like riding a bull for 8 seconds, so not sure if I need to now calibrate compass.

Did yoi guys ever get a fix? Mine works just fine but the gos light never turned on. Wondering if it could be better.

What happens if it still doesn’t hold gps location and starting spinning and wrapping cord up?

Mines brand new the gps light isn’t illuminated I want to try the gps calibration but my light never came on like yours did!? It’s a xi3

you need to update your gps system.. have to call motorguide then they send you the update flash drive

Do you have to do this everytime you power on your trolling motor

@@conorreavey5960 I can't say the same, mine will not turn motor to get back to original spot, it just turns left, right , and that's about it.
