I'm automatically clicking on a Mat Watson/CarWow video as soon as I see a video racing a MotoGP bike but knowing that they've partnered with Dani Pedrosi means my excitement level is as high as it can be. Dani is a great sport apart from being an excellent racer. Short of Valentino Rossi doing these MotoGP drag races, there's no one else I'd like to see than Dani.

@@kato093 Do you know how many times he got injured? Do you know how many times he crashed on the race? He already break many bones before. That's the reason why he couldn't keep up in previous race. Don't look down on him if you never watch MotoGP

Of course Dani is gonna lose braking challenge because those brakes and tires really need to warm up to work properly. That's why they do warm up laps. I always loved watching him race. Great rider

A modern supercar will still out brake a bike by a little bit (as much as I hate to admit it). Cars have a much larger contact patch and the use of aerodynamic wings, ducts and diffusers is more advanced than bikes due to the money in the car industry being much larger. Bikes will always be faster on the road in decent conditions due to them being much smaller, therefore having way more road to use. Aswel as it being much more common for a bike to have advanced training.

Holy cow, only now do I actually realize just how quick those moto GP motorcycles are. Watching them race against each other on a track doesn’t give you that perspective! That 911 is rapid, but that GP bike is ludicrous 😵‍💫

What a awesome guy Dani is, sounded like he was genuinely having a fun day. That Porsche is fast as heck, and of course the Moto GP was always going to beat it but if you didn't know better you'd think Matt had stamped on the brakes the way the Moto GP just blasts past.

I'm a bike guy through and through tho it's amazing how fast cars are getting. There was a time when almost no car could touch a bike. Now you have sports cars pushing 500-600 from the factory, super fast auto gearboxes and sophisticated launch systems that are very tuneable. I have a 2015 R1. 200 crank hp and 190kg wet. I'm not even safe against many cars patrolling the mean streets these days😂

To be fair, with that R1 you're still quicker than easily over 95% of the vehicles on the road. Some of these newer cars do have absolutely mind blowing launches with their advanced launch controls, but with a rolling start the only thing quicker than you is 1000+ HP beasts.

To contextualize it a bit differently, consider that for 20K dollars/pounds you can get almost the same performance as spending 150-1million plus in a car. You don't need to sell your home and children to get performance that warps reality.

Damn the Moto GP bike performed better than I expected for a quarter mile...of course it takes someone like Dani's talent to perform launches like he did.

Great race. Always good to see Dani. To be fair to the Moto GP bike, unless the brakes were changed for this challenge they're usually ceramic discs and pad compounds which work optimally when warmed up and resist fade during repeated and sustained use. Not at their best from cold.

The way the MotoGP bike took off on that second launch 🤯

Yea it would pull your arms out of the sockets if you wasn't strong enough to hold on to it. When i was young i had a CR250R which was fast but i had a go on a proper racing CR500R and it really was hard to hold onto. After a 10 minute run on that bike it felt like my arms were an inch longer.

Those MotoGP bikes are incredible machines and it takes great skill to tame it. Dani is fantastic the way he handles it.

The motogp bike pulling on the turbo S right off the bat despite starting in 6th was pretty nutty.

Spectacular showdown! The MotoGP Bike versus KTM Road Bike drag race was pure adrenaline. A mesmerizing display of speed and power that left me wanting more! Maybe Greyhound racing?

Dani is a super dude, jovial, friendly and always pleasant. Pretty sure he'd be fast on a Vespa.

So much respect for Dani after watching him throughout his years in MotoGP. What a legend.

Whenever i watch the Porche 911 beat other cars im like " That's one heck of a beast", then he races MotoGP with it and im just speechless. The acceleration on that bike is just insane.

I think, Dani's the nicest MotoGP rider ever. Such a humble and polite guy, too bad he'd never won the MotoGP. But fascinating how good the 911 performs.

That manic laugh😂……..priceless.

So happy for Dani Pedrosa! Immense respect for the guy ❤

@@MrCR500AF 1st gear is very long upto 180 km/h he shifts 2nd gear at 190 km/h in Moto GP bike 2,3,4 gears stacked together so closely the Acceleration is just immense 😂 literally faster than anything faster than a Rimac Nevera or Agera RS It's not even close many F1 cars will smoke Rimac Nevera or a Chiron Moto GP bikes Accelerate faster than F1 cars

Sadly this bike is not running 275 hp right here they have remapped it with less HP to make races Fair 😂 I've seen a Ducati GP bike hit 300 km/h in 9.1 seconds before 1/4 mile So Moto GP bikes are much faster than this Just imagine 22 Ducati GP bike Vs Rimac Nevera 😂 not even fair because GP bike will destroy any car

Bikes are tricky: yes, they have crazy power to weight ratio, but they cant use that, because of small contact patch. Thats why they have so long 1st gear, no use for shorter 1st gear, because either tire spins, or bike wheelies. 275hp/157kg with 4 tires would be a rocket. Kinda like carts are.

The way that Moto gp bike pulled away is insane

Carwow never fails to entertain us with their awesome weekly drag race. This may be the 20th time Mat has raced in a Porsche 911 but it still gives me joy just seeing it race against some amazing vehicles and bikes. Rapid lauch by the legend himself. We have to see this race the RB11 Formula one race car. That would be close to watch.

RB11 vs GP22 DUCATI vs MP4/4 could be interesting.

That racing bike must have had an insane trap speed in the drag race. On video it was just a ghost when it crossed the line.

At mugello i think the straight is 900m before they brake, and most teams is between 355-365kmph.

Dani's incredibly talented AND humble. Love the guy.
