Harley outclassed Polaris in this one. Superior rider and higher horsepower. Steady pull away after the pass shows the race was totally owned by Harley today. 🏆

They need to have open class so they don’t limit Indian and let Harley and Indian see what they can build so we can reap the benefits as buyers.

They limit Indian because it's a modern liquid cooled motor. Harley is racing an air cooled pushod (tractor) motor. The limitations are needed.

@@motoman7445 in a configuration of a vtwinn it is hard to beat displacement especially when you have unlimited factory money. I have both Harley and Indian what is available to us and the factory riders is so different. Not knocking either one. Thanks for the response I like other people’s side off it.

I have three stage four ultra limited and Victory cross country set up cam and tune and Indian challenger tuned and cam. If you put them together the Indian wins every time on street the Harley and victory 106cu are even at 1/4 mile. Harley has finally come out with a bagger the new CVO that is set up like the the Victory cross country’s I had back in 2012-2023. Finally they are building good handling bikes from factory. I just don’t like the 55k price tag.

...you got to be a weight lifter to manhandle those bikes...on the brakes and 160 mph?

You have to be physically fit for any of these kinds of motorcycles in racing, period. MotoGP riders are regularly doing a lot of fitness and those bikes are very light. Racing this hard and this fast requires serious physical fitness regardless of the kind of bike.

...oh yeah, even though the gp bikes are lighter, the gforce produced requires an athlete to manhandle such bikes, any fast bike...remembering club racing, all the fun was lost halfway through the open production race, hoping nobody would pass me the last laps...bypassed the 600cc to the 400cc and the 250cc, then I was having fun...same thing trail riding, globs of fun until I tried the mx track, forget it!

...not really, on public roads, a 400cc is more than enough, let the liter bikes pass you on the straigtways and reeled them back the next turn, even overtake them, lots of fun...for the smaller bike only, in this case...
