There’s thunder Down Under as two titans of Australia’s drag racing scene square off on THIS vs THAT! Andrew “Tha GeeDeeArr Guy” Hawkins brought @motive flagship R32 Skyline GT-R, a project car 10 years in the making. It’s powered by an RB30 inline 6, turbocharged by a 76mm Garrett, and shifted with a sequential gearbox. Johnny Habib’s a legend and so is his wheel-standing LH Torana. Under the hood is a HUGE 9.7L Chevy big block getting boosted by a whopping 400 shot of nitrous! No wonder this thing has a brake chute!

Nitrous cars have to destroy turbo cars in the 60ft to have a chance of not being turbo F'd on the big end. And being that the turbo car is AWD I didn't really think the Holden had a chance but it was alot closer than I expected. Great episode, such a badass 32 🤙

Ehhh depends on how much spray you have. If you have a second or even third kit to bring in you can still have a really strong top end. Just gotta keep spraying. 😂
@jdmmike7225
Жыл бұрын
@@cfltitan That is kinda true, but its not just how much power you have, it also has to do with where the engine's make their power. Nitrous engine's usually make more low-mid range power where turbocharged engine almost always make high range power. So at the top of the track where a nitrous graph maybe starting to lay over a turbo graph is still climbing. But to each their own, I just prefer forced induction.
@Gabethemosthated

I actually feel like I’m this case the awd wasn’t the main reason he lost, more likely because of the reason you stated with the nitro he just doesn’t have the top end power like the gtr but for it being a natural asp vs a turbo

I think it would be fairly even if they did if not the muscle could pull a win from a roll eliminating the AWD advantage.
