The way Junior stood up and didn't go down...shows he died like the Hero he is. He fought to save his own life and it takes a Man to stand up and rush himself to the hospital after multiple brutal stabbings. Junior is a Hero and he proved it.

So true, but if i may respectfully disagree about one point. This isn’t just going to be a forgotten tragedy. This was a seminal moment for the community and essentially the entire country. Do you know how unheard of it is for 8 suspects to be captured within a matter of 2 days?! People came together like never before. It shows just how sick and tired people are of meaningless violence and it also shows how people have the capacity to take care of one another when it counts 😊

You can tell the type of fruit by the tree. JR's Mom has such a sweet spirit. She's so gracious, strong, and kind under the worst circumstances imaginable. She is a good tree; JR must have been wonderful fruit. I am sure she imparted her traits to him. JR left safety of home to give $ 5 dollars to someone he thought was hungry. What a sweet and noble gesture. RIP JR. Justice for JR.

SumayyahAK I have been following this story. He died outside of the emergency room cuz he bled out. Those animals stabbed him so many times, especially by his neck, hitting a main artery. He left his house after 9:30, but the incident didn't happen until about 2 hours later. Now this is all my theory but I assume they were stalling him till the killers got there. If this Jason, that Jr's mom mentioned is the guy from that sex tape, it would seem clear that Stephanie, the gf, who was in the explorers program (program for young ppl to get into law enforcement careers) with Jr, knew what was up and warned her bf Jason about what her brother and gang was planning to do for releasing the sex tape footage. It looks like a major set up. Jr was so scared, you could tell from the video surveillance in the Bodega, he didn't know what was happening. He just knew he was being pursued by a bunch of thugs and he went in that store out of quick reaction cuz he felt like the owner knew him enough to help him. That owner betrayed him, allowing them to drag him out and moments later, made him leave the store after he got stabbed! It has been said that he knew Jr since he was young, so he had to have known his character and how he wasn't the type to be part of anything bad. I believe Jason and Stephanie are just as guilty as the killers cuz they lured Jr out to be killed. And it boils my blood to see how Jr left the store with literally "no one" to come and help him. He was all alone. In the video of him at the steps of the hospital, I'm not sure who the female was, might have been his sister, but you can hear her say "yall should have been done that" which means to me she was referring to people applying pressure to his wound(s). Its such a sad period in this day and age where people are quick to pull out their phones to record something wild or crazy, and wanna post it online to get likes and mentions, instead of calling 911 or yell or do anything. What's even more pathetic is when other people are using this tragedy, using the Jr hashtag to get views and likes too! It's disgusting! Social media has corrupted people!

Jason was not the guy in the sex tape or her boyfriend he was a friend of juniors he said the gang threatened him to get junior outside, the question I have is how did they get to him to do that and why he didn’t tell them that junior wasn’t the boy they was looking for???

She just has an amazing grace about herself! My heart breaks for her so much! She is so strong but she seems in shock which is expected. She is such a sweet woman and she raised a sweet child. They didn't deserve this kind of pain and evil.

Me too, I can't stop crying when I see videos, and our Heavenly Father is coddling his child and wow this has been very overwhelming for me. I'm a mother of a son and plenty of nephews and I can't imagine what she is going through. Continued blessings from above to her, family, and everyone that was touched by this senseless tragedy

I have been in her shoes 11 years ago. She is ok now because she is surrounded by many people now! But it will hit her once everyone leaves her side! It is the worst feeling ever! Your love one is gone and you will never see, talk, or hug them again. That pain 11 years later is still present till this day 07/08/07 May God bless her and her family. May Junior RIP in God's Glory. Those monsters will pay here and in hell! Those people who didn't help him will also pay.

The moment she said when she would get up in her house and she see different things that reminded her of her son I just lost it. She can't even feel a kiss or a hug from her baby anymore. Her son I feel so so bad for her I just want to keep her in my heart forever. I pray she finds peace. Hmmm mercy father what a world we live in. Ny heart hurts for her smh

It is sooo crazy. I got teary eyed but I SWEAR I can feel her grateful spirit thru my screen for the love and support. I love how her eyes lit up when she spoke on his wanting to be a cop and doing the research for the next steps.

Wow!!! When she spoke about how the pizza in the refrigerator reminded her of her son, it hurt my heart and made me cry. This is so hard for her but she is being so strong. God bless her. Rest in peace Junior.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt so much hurt for a complete stranger in my life, as a mom of a 15 year old this really hits home. I hope and pray for the ultimate justice for junior, and that his mother will somehow be able to find peace in her broken heart. Sending many prayers to her and that whole community that’s been affected❤️🙏🏼

He told her his friend Jason needed money and that he left the house at 9.30pm she called him and he said he was coming home. So I want to know if he met with Jason b4 10 then what was he doing from 10 till 11:40 when the incident happened. He was set up either way, someone said he was meeting with Stephanie and she asked for money for the train. It's possible he lied about meeting up with "Jason"

R Santa no I think he did meet up with Jason . One of the gang members knew Jason and knew Jason could get junior for them . I guess they threatened Jason if he didn’t get junior . I’m guessing around 11 something , I think they found him and he ran to the store . Then they followed him inside and killed him

my mom is 83 years old and lived with the tragedy of my brothers death for so long and this woman is strong like my mom may she forever have Junior in her heart.

glenda this is what i am thinking, his physical presence is still too palpable that's why she still manages to be on auto pilot mode without falling apart. i pray she survives the summer because in many cultures we connect summer with youth , when the sun's gone that's when sorrow creeps in . Poor mama. teenagers should only worry about their snacks, school, friends and their text messages. we shouldn't be planning their home going.
