This song defines Tupac the most, how he grew up among poverty and had it rough which the song does symbolise and how he battled and overcame all his set-backs and struggles through-out the years and still had so much love to give back despite all the things he went through in life. Its easily one of his greatest songs, no doubt. You can just feel the emotion, so vidid, you can literally feel what he says. It comes straight from his soul and heart. Just this one song seperates Tupac from nearly every rapper. Its so much love behind!

Same here. It always makes me tear up, even after all these years. Speaks directly to the pain you feel as a kid growing up in a house that's struggling.

Trey, you and your Mother Gina analyzed the meaning of this song very well speaking about support and not giving up and important issues that the song is reflecting on. This genre focuses more on the lyrics than the music. It's all about the message, and you both understand it well.
