Mostly Empty Here, Mostly - Riding Gold Butte - Honda CRF300L

Ойын-сауық

Escaping the cold of Utah, I headed to Gold Butte of Southern Nevada. Absolutely love this area in the winter time, summer...not so much.
Plenty of riding out in Gold Butte as well as other things.
On this trip I wanted to check out a way to the Virgin River/Lake Mead, nice long dirt road leading out into an empty desert. Just me and the rocks.
Paired with me was my Honda CRF300L, it made for an excellent day of riding!

“Thus far” is not a phrase we hear in much NZ, but it so loaded when used getting off the beaten track I reckon I’ll adopt it. Cheers mate for another stunning vid.

I’m 64 and ride a 701 and can relate to being cold. Best purchase I’ve ever made was an electric jacket with gloves that plug into the sleeves. Thermostatically controlled. Really enjoyed your video during my hibernation.

Appreciate you watching! Heated gloves should be here today, might have to look into a heated liner of some sort!

So fun to have someone preview the road for us southern Utah two wheel riders. I hate deep sand and now sort of know where not to go. FYI I bet the next 10k subscribers come a lot quicker especially with the great videos. Great job.

Looked like a gorgeous day in the desert. Love that feeling when you hit the killswitch and get instant solitude and peace. Congrats on 10k subs!

I'm not even watching this video until later tonight but the title is AWESOME. One of the best, most quotable movies ever made. Well done.

So, out of the 4 bikes I know you own, the 300L, the XT250, the KLR650 and the DR650, which one do you enjoy riding the most????

The XT250, yup..that little bike is too much fun and gets me way deep in the backcountry without much worry.

To much sag in the back will make it very difficult to ride in sand. Front end will have a mind of its own….
