This used to be the case. However, recently, folks have been denied a product change to a second custom cash. So it may no longer be an option.

I have multiple Shell gas stations nearby and a local Giant Food that partners with Shell to get cents off per gallon. I use the the Citi Custom Cash with Upside with Shell fuel rewards+giant food rewards. I triple dip.

You can also add a 4th dip as Shell is a regular on Citi merchant offers. Latey its been $2 bucks off when spending over $30 in a transaction

Hi Sebby. Do you know if i oprn custom cash and still earning towards my sing up $200 would it be smart /right to product change my other citi card to another custom cash before i get $200 bonus on the first custom cash card? Or its better to get bonus on 1st custom cash and only then product change to 2nd custom cash?

I recently book a Hilton stay with a 1.2 point valuation.using 5th night free. I include this as we have hilton cards. The no AF honors card has gas and grocery at 5x. I have been thinking of the citi card for groceries and gas after we finish chase freedom bonuses but now question if i need this card. I already have 2 catogory cards that cover groceries and gas half the year. Thinking the return on this i have covered with other cards already. Will be considering for dinning. But even in this category earning x3 on other cards achieve the similar x5 return in travel use.

If I use it in Walmart and buy groceries along with a tv will they only give me 5% on total purchase or just the groceries?

🏀 As Team Cash Back, I use the Citi Custom Cash for Restaurants. The other categories I have other cards or too little spend to make a difference.

We have three CCC in our family for grocery/restaurants/gas, when my premier’s AF hits we will see if we can get a 4th for wild card 😊

Great card overview as always Sebby! If Klay's going to be a 6th man moving forward, he's my favorite by far.

I use this card every day now! I got 2 actually, I product changed my double cash into a second Custom Cash. Sine I already have a few 2% cash Bach cards, made e realize why I need more especially if they overlap. I have the Apple Card and the Fidelity 2% card. I use one Custom Cash for Food and the other one I rotate between gas, drug stores and Streaming. Thinking of adding another. A very underrated card 🙌

I want to get a second custom cash if they allow me to do the same and part change my double cash. I have the blue business plus and the business cash on American Express, the synchrony rewards world MasterCard and the Apple card as well. The only way I will not have two of them is if they don’t allow me to product change my double cash to another custom cash. I rarely use my double cash.

I have 3. I love this card and love the Premier for travel.

I've had the Custom Cash for almost 2 years now, never carried a balance over, utilization never hit double digits on statement balances (paid off before statement date), and have always been denied for credit line increases despite six fig income and almost 800 credit score. Some people are saying Citi actually likes to see higher credit utilization on statements, any idea if this is true? Let the statement come in high but still pay it off on time in full?

I like using my custom cash for hotel stays, viator, and checked bags If I'm spending under $500 for travel that month

🏀 I got the Custom Cash in December after cancelling the Flex. I got tired of rotating categories. Yesterday I opened a Double Cash, which I will product change to a 2nd Custom Cash asap.

Keep striking out with Citi. Missed the SUB for double cash (had the card for two months when the sub came back). Now, I'm holding on hard inquires for a car loan. Ugh. 🏀

I need a card so I can spend for a MacBook. I have Amex gold but there is no extra reward for me using it. Should I get a citi custom cash to get some cash back and also the 0% intro apr since it is a big purchase ?

You probably won't be able to get that MacBook purchase into a 5% category.

🏀 right now, it has to be Bogdan that got traded to the Knicks. I’m not sure if he will start but he’ll be a great option of the bench. My card portfolio has been kind of static so maybe I should add this as my next addition but I don’t even have a double cash yet. Just the Premier on the elevated bonus.

I'm starting to think getting the Double Cash and Rewards+ for subs and switching them to Customs after a year could cover almost everything

Freedom Flex is a great card if you like rotating categories!

🏀 I think you might get some good view numbers on a follow-up video about some of the pitfalls this card has and how to avoid them. Such as Spotify not qualifying for the streaming category or Walmart, Costco, Target, etc. not qualifying as groceries. It's a nice tool, but it only fits a few applications well.

Kind of similar to the bcp card where bcp gives 6% up to 6K per year. So that’s about 500 a month

🏀 I just applied for a US Bank Cash+, though checking the categories, I’m a bit disappointed that gas groceries and restaurants are not part of the 5% category. Citi’s onto something, I might join them in the future

I have that card & love it for getting 5% back on utilities. This quarter it’s 5% back on fast food too.

🏀 It's a great card and I like the user interface of both the app and the desktop website. The paper bill looks clean as well. I use it mostly for ride share. I want to work on getting a second one but I'm hearing now that it's getting difficult to product change into a second one even well after a year. Any thoughts on that?

The Custom Cash is a decent card. Not the best but decent. The Prestige is a good card. This is my opinion. Once again thank you for the information and keep up the good work. Happy Friday/ weekend. 👍🏿✌️

🏀 Help me Sebbi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope. I don't travel much and want to downgrade my Premier. I have 40,000 TY points I can transfer out. I have no specific use case, but could be persuaded to put a trip together. Where's the best place to transfer to? Would a deal like your Singapore example work for flying coach? Open to Europe or domestic travel from the east coast. Otherwise, I'll just cash them out.

🏀 I'm a homebody but I think this would mean $300ish for me per year using it for my son's food (roughly $660 he is autistic and has to have the same things daily) in a month the rest would be on the Walmart rewards at 2%🏀

Any idea if concessions at live sporting events count as a category? 🏀

Citi should remove FTFs

CCC is a great card, that why I have 9 of them. The only downside is that you need to use it every month, compared to Freedom's once a quarter.

🏀 This is probably a good gasoline card for most people/families.

Where are you at net worth wise? I imagine you’re over 2M
