I have a John Deere Trike, bike, lawnmower, tractor, wheeled loader and excavator. I guess I need to get a dozer, skidsteer and articulated dump truck to round everything out. 😂. Bleed Green and Yellow!!

Really good video. I bought a 2019 3025e to maintain about 6 acres of woods trails and food plots. The sales guy told me this would be the best option but found out that I really needed a smaller tractor as in the woods I needed a smaller foot print to get around. I also was using a finish mower behind the tractor to mow the yard and I really needed a belly mower. I just sold the 3025 snd bought the 2025r and could not be more happier. With fluid in the tires and wheel weights it actually weighs more then my 3025 and can do more. Bigger is not always better

Great video, I have been there and done all those things, I bought a new 2013 3032E (145 hrs) which I still have, then I bought a new 2019 4044R(41 hrs)/which I still have. Now I am going to purchase a new 4044R with a cab.I found that I am spending a lot of time brush hogging and tilling and it’s time to upgrade to a cab. I will be selling the 4044R.

Start your buying process by determining what you want to do with it and then go from there. A 6' pull type (inverted) snowblower requires 35 PTO HP. With that in mind I whittled it down to a JD 3046R/4044R, Kubota L4701/L4760, Mahindra 2645/3650, New Holland Boomer 45, and Yanmar YM347/YT347. The JDs aren't good value being more expensive in base trim and every option costing more than the other brands. The new electronic treadle pedal is even worse than the old Kubota mechanical treadle pedals so those were out. The Mahindras and New Holland are unrefined, plus the NH is a 3-cylinder vs 4 for the rest. The Yanmar YT347 is the best out of those options. It has better hydraulics (both front and rear lift) is the heaviest by about 100 pounds, and has the best transmission with their I-HMT. It also has a low fuel tank fill which you appreciate more the older you get and the more your back and shoulders hurt lifting five gallon fuel cans.

Fantastic points. Price sometimes distracts us from ability of machine/equipment, as well as things like cab (heating & cooling), ect... amenities can be HUGE differences & worth several hundred or thousand dollars in long run. We have 1 life. Enjoy it, savor it, take care of yourself & get work done!

Great video, but was wondering what to consider when picking the size of tractor. Me personally I want a 5 series but it seems to be too big. A 4 would fit me better if it had the ag tires.

I would say this depends on what you are comfortable with and where you have to store and drive the machine. So considering gates, roads, and storage sheds on your property would be helpful. Thanks for watching!

Brent, as always, thank you for the great content! Your presentation is always spot on and kind toward your competitors! My Dad found me a MF 1547 with LOW hours from a private seller in the "Thrifty Nickel" back in 2009! (Fella was getting a divorce, lol!) I've had it since then and I love my "ManDingo", but I would love a cab to play around my place! I have a JD D130 and just got a Z345R just the other day. We have a wonderful dealer in SE Colorado that provides great support! But, what do you say to those that say "that green and yellow are sure expensive?" Thank you for your time Brent, and I love JD products, but I bleed a little red and grey! LOL!

Question though: I'm after a 3033R cab. Local Deere dealer sells enough of them, but I don't see a lot in the local used market. Would that be indicative of a highly sought after tractor that owners are retaining, or something else?

Had a 2520 for 10 years, was a lifechanger. Now have 3033r open station. Will not be moving up to a 4R, the 3R is a perfect fit for all my jobs and tools. HP is overrated, my 3033 does everything a 3046 would for my jobs. Get as many wheel weights that will fit and fluid fill the tires.

Dealer support is important. I have 3 deere shops within 30 minutes vs an hour for kubota and 2hrs for kioti. As far as warranty: I can slap a lifetime guarantee on a piece of shit and I got a guaranteed piece of shit for life. Does me no good if its in the shop...

I dont buy the last piece of advice, Ive seen and been bitten by buying something based off the past history of a brand. MANY TIMES established companies will trade their reputation for investor pressure and thus the quality associated with that name brand goes completely out the window. Cub Cadet comes to mind. I will NEVER buy a product based off the name brand for this reason, it doesnt matter how many people are brainwashed and blinded by a companies past and that causes them to keep buying trash. Your product is your warranty, and your reputation. So many companies have trashed their name brand to the point it cant possibly recover....like Craftsman for instance. In todays world you have to be brand blind
