Rattan's giving new players an early lesson in bringing shields

"Use them as bait", great advice! I never knew how to play them, and they seemed quite fun tbh.

I would 100% recommend rattans on dispersed formation in an area where they will never need to be moved. Because if you lose 5+ units the dispersed formation doesn’t really work anymore, they will stick rather close. And also so you could minimize the amount of aoe (grenades, ults) damage and even the cavs from wiping your units. Pretty awesome unit and yes it does naturally draw players, if your lucky they will survive for so long.

The most toxic unit is definitely Men at Arms, one stun = immediate one shot death equation is actually ridiculous.

One of the keys to making this unit work as you've shown is the ability to do AOE CC on a relatively short cooldown to protect them. They'll be significantly less effective without that. So, most classes won't see this level of success. I think it would work for both glaive and maul though, and maybe longsword and short sword.

I kinda dont get your point. 1. If you wanna protect them from enemy heroes nearly every class has very playbale forced dismount against Heroes on horses 2. 50% of all classes have an AOE-CC to break block or slow them down: SS, LS, Glaive, Maul, PA, Musket, Nodachi, Pike (to some extend but not counting in LB explosive arrow and DB Bo shuriken slow). But if you are shooting shields, you dont play the unit correctly Rattan Marksman work with every class. You just need to now what kind of way you can support your unit and vice versa. Some Classes are better in protecting them from enemy heroes and some can help them better deal damage. The Pike slash on Horseback to dismount enemy heroes, the DB stunlock or the LS speed boost to quickly reposition are all also extremly strong with Rattans

Loved the Rattan marksman in all tiers, glad they finally got their poison stack buff they desperatly needed. Just wondering how you get those lvl 5 mods, got almost 700hours in and highest i ever got is lvl III, and then always dps things. Never like poison or doubleshot.

i have never gotten these doctrines before but i have gotten tier 5, you just gotta get lucky with an wepic wisdom when exchanging purple dortcines or wisdoms, ive gotten a few lvl 5 doctrines, sadly a lvl 5 supply doctrine twice... but they roughly have a 50/50 chance of appearing when using the stuff i mentioned above

I would say incendiary archers with arrow rain is the most toxic unit at this tier, everything is flammable and the cc from being on fire is ungodly annoying

even in t4 and later in t5 its still usefull... ow and musket bomb with their radius can only kill max a third of the unit... ow and augolia is not the least favorite map ..... at least not from the point of view of the defenders ;)

После ввода мастерства стрелков окончательно можно забыть как класс юнитов они полностью уничтожены, они и до ввода мастерства были очень слабы, а теперь это отряд импотентов которые ничего не могут даже в 3-4 отряда отбится от одинокого героя почти нереально, против отрядов тоже бесполезные. На синем режиме как то играбельны, но все что выше это боль и унижение.

people sleep on rattan marksman and vippers. they are probablly the best value for archer unit. their poisiong ives like 70% dmg reduction to anything they hit. yes they made out of paper but they can single handedly change the crouse of battle likeshield units do

In my opinion this really ruins the game...eveyone plays only ranged units with chain and maul weapon combined. The whole game is a big hide and seek and you can get MVP for literally doing nothing in the back...soon purple will be released and fusiliers will be everywhere. "Bring shields" oh ye and what you gonna do with them? You put them up and they get shot to death in seconds or a maul destroys them with 2 skills and you dont get anny kills or support points...this game is really dying and btw at the moment the servers are down again :)) soooo sad...
