A Very TANKY Unit! - Imperial Shield Guards - Conqueror's Blade Gameplay

So we are Finally back with some more Conqueror's Blade as we dive into the imperial shield guards, a unit that I really haven't played very much before in Conqueror's Blade but that really seems to have found a good balance in the current meta. They are extremely tanky but with a pretty low damage output. How do you find the current unit in Conqueror's Blade?

They're even more ridiculous with max mastery, their final node in particular is VERY annoying due to being able to concuss a hero or unit with their shield bash allowing their hero and teammates to kill that hero they concussed.
The mastery buffs truly have done a number on some units, personally i was most surprised about the heavy damage, javelin militia (green javs) can do now with jav doctrines + mastery and the double throw charge + the first throw ability

It will be nice for the tank units to get at least 1/3 of the kill credit of all the kills done in their close vicinity.

I never unlocked them because I didn't think fit my playstyle but they are so useful. I'm a glaive user and I would love a video explaining the nuance of how and why to spec your hero a specific way.
I have always loved spear sergeants and later stalwarts more but these guys have been buffed so much that they play like a very tanky and damaging spear sergeant unit.EDIT: They are still a very good 1 v 1 unit if you a re fighting the right targets. Any sort of range will deal 0 damage to you, pikes will be useless(including fortebracio), myrmylos if they miss their charge, monks get beaten convincingly as well since you shield bash them into a corner. You can beat men at arms or baladins since their heal and high defense allows them to deal little bits of damage over a long period of time and kill the enemy unit. They suck ass vs any good cav and if they get in a blob fight vs other shields and monks + onna musha they will lose. Once their block breaks the enemy unit will start overwhelming them.

I really am conflicted between this guys and stalwarts, i want in my warband, looking for a shield unit to help hold or push for the team, but i dont understand their differences, i already tried using imperial shields and i dont feel i do much with them, mine dont have much vet points or docs, but when i use them i feel at the mercy of my team, they hold, have alot of block and heal but dont do much damage or pushing, thats your team to do and maybe is that i dont know how to use them but i am shit when i play with them. Thats why i was looking at stalwarts, dont have them yet but they look less team dependent and can do ok on their own, they dont have the absurd survivability of imperial shields but i think they have enough, and they dont feel vet and doc dependent has stalwarts. Will appreciate opinions on this.

Stalwarts r not OP as before but its doin ok nowadays. They r worth it imo.

For me I swap between defender and attacker. Attacker it's myrmies Defender it's Imp spears Stalwarts get utterly dominated by the myrmie charge so I stopped running them.

when i used to play maul i always take them with me there tanking and am doing the damage
Very fun unit. The synergy with maul is absolutely ridiculous.
That block doctrine 2 is fire
The best part about this unit is it's ability to adapt and survive almost any situation because of their huge shields and massive heath
Evo, I would very much like to see you curbstomping with Houndsmen... and testing out if that 50% damage reduc is worth it since they got that buff to hounds where they heal when damaged..
Unit could be utter trash but with that intro music it immediately my favourite.
With the new Doctorine, this unit turn out to be the best Tank ever.
These guys with short sword and shield are absolute line breakers, disrupt enemy defenses with your combo, and then have a wall just in the group fight. Worthless at getting kills, but a very effective method if you have a damaging hero and unit following your lead.
I've won siege battle for the whole team because they rally behind me and we work as a team

Playing these as Maul or Longsword feels outright disgusting for different reasons. Maul simply doesn't die while bringing the damage the unit lacks itself, while Longsword makes them sustain combat for even longer without taking casualties. The speed buff is also huge on them.

And still people don't know how to use them. They are the primary unit for deffending other units on defense and ppl just use them as bodyguards
Ah the good ole ISG'S still going strong after so long. Not a killer unit, just some chunky boys that do their one job.
how to hell can i get a new weapon type i have beeen looking everywhere and i just find people arguing over shit so say armour guy while i go to talk to him he say some bullshit.
